Pros:

Cheaper than proactive
Able to find at most stores

Cons:

VERY DRYING! so drying that it was hard for me to smile
didn't work for me at all
made my skin way worse than before
made my skin red and itchy with little bumps
had peeling skin

I had quick a lot of cysts and acne scars and from reading reviews about this product on this website convinced me to try it out. At first, it was very drying already but I thought that it might work so i continued using it but i applied my aveeno moisturizer afterwards. When i woke up the next day, my skin was red at first with little bumps. I didn't want to give up on it so i continued using it for a couple more days and how WRONG WAS !? It made my skin really itchy and red and i had tons of little bumps all over my face except the forehead and my skin was peeling!! I really wouldn't recommend this product to a person with sensitive skin.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Burned my face after first application.

I have used Proactiv for many years, so I am no stranger to the ingredient 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, and my face is definitely use to it. I decided to try this product out, as it said on the box, it's main ingredient was 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide also. I applied it like I always do, and my face gradually became more and more irritated over a course of many hours, and it is burned, itchy and on fire. It gave me a chemical burn after only one application. I looked on the bottle of the Repairing Lotion and seen it said 3.7% Benzoyl Peroxide! No wonde rit burned my face! Also, it did not say that on the box, at all, so when I purchased it, I was under the impression it was 2.5% B.P. because that's what it says, but the Lotion is a higher concentration, so be wary of trying this product! Benzoyl Peroxide is very strong as it is, and it's recommended not to go over 2.5% for this very reason! I'm going to purchase the Equate system that Wal-Mart carries now. I researched it and discovered was an exact replica of Proactiv but better priced, and more convenient!

Pros:

The box looks very pretty

Cons:

This product does not work at ALL. After about a month of using the Severe version of this product, I've actually broken out worse than what I was dealing with before.

The products leave your skin very dry, and it tends to burn. Sun screen is an absolute must, naturally.

Some of my cystic acne has even come back now. This doesn't make any sense, considering my finals are well over by now and I have virtually no stress.

Red marks from past breakouts are starting to reapp

Do NOT buy this product! It certainly didn't help for me.

Pros:

Works for the first 2 days

Cons:

Dries up skin to flakes, Stretches your skin when you open your mouth, Caused MORE acne, and causes misery

This product is a big fat JOKE. It worked for the first 2 days fine. I followed the instructions and it was OK. Then one morning I woke up to have flakes all over my cheeks, forehead, and a burning sensation to even talk because the "flakes" stretched my skin. It caused 2 zits on my nose. Lovely. I'm miserable right now just writing this review. The only way to stop the burning sensation somewhat is to drink tons of water. It detoxes your skin and body. But this product should be banned. I think the FDA needs to reexamine this product because it's HORRIBLE.

Pros:

Got the larger size and bonus step #1 at Sam's Club in the USA

Cons:

Put it on at night for the first time. Burned, tingled. Face turned BRIGHT red and you could see every place I put it on (and didn't!)
It felt AWFUL and my skin was so DRY. If I touched my face the pain was almost UNBEARABLE.

Put it on at night for the first time. Burned, tingled. Face turned BRIGHT red and you could see every place I put it on (and didn't!) It felt AWFUL and my skin was so DRY. If I touched my face the pain was almost UNBEARABLE. Slept with multiple soaked washclothes on my face in an attempt to stop the pain and swelling and get some sleep. Face was BURNING HOT to the touch. Stains EVERYTHING, smells AWFUL. My pimples are so dry they are starting to PEEL. NEVER buy this product! It is so painful and awful. I cannot go out in public for atleast 3 hours before the red starts to go down. Face still hurts to the touch!!!!

Pros:

This is a really easy system to use, and routine takes a short amount of time to complete. The lotion doesn't sting when applied, like it did for me when I used ProActiv. Very reasonable price compared to ProActic system.

Cons:

I have been using the system for a week, and I have broken out much worse than when I used Proactiv. I am getting acne in areas that weren't flaring up before.

The system leaves my skin feeling really clean, and the lotion feels much gentler than that of ProActiv's. I didn't experience clearer skin in 3 days, but I am going to stick with this regimen until the 2 week mark, and hopefully I will see results like shown in the commercial! I was really impressed by the results of the African American girl in the AcneFree commercial, so I hope I will see the same changes in a week. I will keep you posted :)

??????????
So this isn't burning my skin, but it's also not helping. I have yet to see any improvement in my skin and if anything it has gotten worse. I have breakouts forming and I woke up this morning with several white heads. I just recently had a breakout that I contribute to the use of chlorophyll tablets, but my skin has never been bad. I have combination skin with light acne but I also have redness in my cheeks and very pale skin so that can make the minor blemishes look more severe. I tried this and this has done nothing...no burning, no pealing, no acne gone. This just isn't helping.

It works by causing your skin to purge, getting additional blemishes is totally normal. Your body doesn't simply rid itself of pimples, they have to naturally develop and come to a head before eventually disappearing of your face it's a process. I have always had perfect skin but some time ago I went through a really tough time and the stress caused me to break out all over my face. Successful products that cleared up my face in a matter of days are Dr Organics Dead Sea salt facial care rang, you can purchase these products at your local health food store or order online from Holland and Barrets. Hope this helps.

Sorry, but skin doesn't "purge". Any "purge" is simply a break out.
