Does this mean it wasn't done right or are my scars not all that tethered?

I think my scarring is more on the superficial side, either that or the first subcision broke up most of the scar tissue. I figured i'd try it one more time though.

It could be either one.

My first subcision was done at a beauty place, there were heaps of red flags (that maybe I missed at the time, but realise now), but I was desperate and didn't think there was anyone else in my area that could perform this. Despite having cheeks full of rolling scars, I heard no popping. It was done poorly.

The second time was with a dermatologist, not even an acne scar specialist but he knew what he was doing, and it was pop pop non-stop (didn't intend to rhyme that but works haha).

I've had several more subs with this derm, and each time there has been less and less. But what was noteworthy there were still pops on subsequent subcisions (and this is the reason why multiple subcisions are recommended - bonds reforming, or simply being missed or not breaking properly).

Ultimately, was the person doing your sub experienced, or have good reviews, or was recommended here? If you are confident in his ability or experience, then your scars may not be tethered.

Also, either way subcision promotes new collagen formation from your body repairing the damage caused (for lack of a better term). Should still get some benefit even if you didn't hear many pops. I've been getting the same area ofscars subcised every few monthsand they're continuously getting better, even with almost no popping now.

Hi Flooressence, could I ask who is doing your Subcisions? I am having trouble finding someone on the east coast of the United States.
