I wrote another thread saying I really want to make my scars less noticeable but also due to PTSD from facialists who make my cystic acne worse ( I also have a dialated pore that looks like a cyst no idea what can be done about that ) I need to go a bit slow. You know.. test this area / scar. See how it goes. Then go back and try some more type of thing. What should I ask the doctor to do and do you think a dr like Rullan will work with me vs going in aggressive and hard ? Thank you !!

It looks likeyou have moderately severe rolling scars.

This is the protocol that BA and others would most likely suggest:

  1. At least 3 rounds of subcision and filler
  2. At least 3 rounds of Infini or Genius
  3. Laser or TCA

These are the conventional treatments that are touted to be the most effective for rolling scars. But are they effective? No, according to many personal testimonies.Even after 5 subcisions, some ppl didnot see much improvement. Same with Infini. Laser waseven worse. That's not to say everyone had bad experiences. Some ppl had good results. But, unfortunately, they never came back to update us after 6-12 months. You can't really know the result until at least 6 months post-op IMO. BTW these are all pretty invasive procedures that requires downtime.

With that said, you can go as slow as you want. If you want the doctor to subcise or laser just 1 scar per session, I don't see why the doctor should not oblige. The downside is you will end up paying more, a way more than had you got the entire face done in one sitting. This is especially the case with overrated doctors like the one you mentioned above who chargespremium price.

As for my own suggestion, I think you should go with TCA and filler. I would widen the scaras much as possible with TCA (at the same time making it shallower), then inject fillers to even it out. Go with temporary fillers at first. If you like the result, then you can move on to a permanent filler like Bellafill.

Your pics are too blurry to make any definitive call but you require subcision. Rullan would know after examining your skin.Whether it's Phenol or TCA, they'll both work. But it's believed that Phenol improves the scar without widening it. TCA tends to widen the scar but making it shallower at the same time. Anyway, Rullan is the guy you want to see when it comes to chemical peels. Just make sure you can afford it. From what others have written, it's not cheap.

Organic castor oil. Apply on you skin every day before sleep and massage your face so the blood can come to the surface. After 1 year, you will have normal skin again. I know you want results now and quick. I'm only suggesting you to do this while you try other treatments in case they don't work.

I personally love castor oil. I've been using it almost nightly for over 10 years. But, unfortunately, it doesn't do anything for scars.
