Hey everyone, I just wanted to share how I got rid of my closed comedones.

Skin type: Combination (oily/dry)

Unfortunately, I cannot attribute this to one single thing so I'll just write everything I've done up here.

1. I cycled wheat out of my diet (I eat rice and rye bread now)
2. I used Epiduo Gel (adaplene0.1% / benzoly peroxide 2.5%) ONCE.I never touched it again because it made my skin peel. After that,I started doing step 3.
3. Using non-comedogenic products:

  • Moisturizer: Palmer's Raw Shea Butter with Vitamin E
  • Cleanser: The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Face Wash
  • Sunscreen: Herbline Essentials All Natural Sunscreen SPF 40
  • Tinted Moisturizer: Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
  • Foundation: Nars Sheer Glow
  • Makeup Remover: Bioderma Sensibio H20
  • Sheet mask: at home egg white mask

My routine is as follows, using the products mentioned above:
-Morning: Sunscreen + Shea Butter (skip this step if your skin is oily and your sunscreen is moisturizing enough)
-Evening: Cleanser + Shea Butter
Once or twice a week, I'll make an at-home sheet mask with one egg white and one-ply tissue

Please keep in mind that everyone's skin is different and this may not work for you but hopefully, it will help someone somewhere in some way.

Let me know if you have any questions!

It took about two weeks after my skin peeled from using the Epiduo gel. Hope the oil cleansing works for you!

That regimen probably will work for Comedones. The Adapalene and Moisturizer are the most important parts.

Moisturizer keeps dryness away, which won't clog pores with dead dry skin.

Adapalene restores and reproduces skin faster than normal.

Good work, thanks for sharing!

I've been thinking of adding a tinted moisturizer for some time now to help with the redness/dark marks on my face from closed comedones. You don't have any problems with the brand you listed clogging your pores?

Works like a dream! Make sure you get the oil free version.
