Regimen Work On Severe Acne?

So I've been using the regimen for a week now and I have severe, cystic acne with hyperpigmentation. I'm 15 years old and have only had it this bad for about a year...will this stuff work? I'm not expecting over-night results but in 2-3 months? I'm starting a new school in September and I'm really nervous about how people will think of my skin. I wear makeup but it just looks bumpy and you can still see my acne. Has anyone else had this bad of acne and it worked? Also, any advice for the dryness? Any home remedies/products that work?

Yes, the regimen can work with severe acne and your expectations for seeing results in a few months is realistic. The first couple months isnt about clearing your skin but more about getting it adjusted to BP. My biggest advice to you is to start slowly and don't be too eager to ramp up the BP too quickly.

As for keeping your skin hydrated, there is no denying that the next couple of months are going to be tough. Dont put anything additional onto your skin outside of the regimen. Jjojoba oil mixed into your moisturiser can help (but its very greasy so maybe just at night) and after 4-5 weeks (if your skin has adjusted well to BP ie. no burning or intense red patches) you can start to incorporate AHA+ which will also help with dryness.

Good luck and let us know about your progress.

ps. I have progress reports in my picture gallery that may help you with what to expect when doing the regimen in the next few months.

I had severe acne and the only thing that really worked for me is this regimen. Make sure to start slow and increase the amount of bp over time. Patience is very important when it comes to clearing acne but as long as u follow Dan's steps and stay consistent this regimen can really work some magic. I personally only use the treatment and aha from acne.org. My face cleansers and moisturizers are purchased at my local walgreens or walmart (anything made for sensative skin). I have tried Dan's cleanser and moisturizer for a long time and they're great products incase u were thinking of purchasing the whole kit. Hope this helps. Good luck
