Okay. I am teetering on the edge of an emotional breakdown. These past few days, people have made so many comments about my skin I just want to crawl into my bed and cry.

As you can see, in the pictures, I have red marks, and a few whiteheads, and a ton of red/black hyperpigmentation, combined with some acne and inflammation....it makes me look like a burn victim.

Please, if you guys have ANY advice, I'd be glad to hear it. Any home remedies that worked for you guys?

You don't have severe scarring, you don't even have scarring from what I can see, just a whole bunch of PIH (and some acne), which is transitory and will pass with time. You can speed the process up by doing a series of peels or consistently using a Vitamin C serum. And avoid the sun as much as possible.

Seriously, it could be a LOT worse, real scarring doesn't fade away.

Like Factoid said, it just looks like a lot of inflammation and PIH/acne. Have you done any acne treatment since it started appearing? I definitely recommend asking your doctor/dermatologist about benzoyl peroxide. It doesn't look like you have enough acne to consider using accutane, but it's always an option.

Vbeam Perfectha is the fastest way to resolve red pigmentation. I wouldn't waste my time with topicals if you want quicker results.

Also, just wanted to point out, if you're truly embarrassed about your redness, wearing makeup is always a choice. You should ask your mom about it. I haven't worn it yet (Was close to wearing some the night of the junior dance) but I've seen a few guys do it and it works really well.

Definitely a mixture of PIH and acne but before you deal with the PIH, you need to address the acne. What have you been using topically? Diet wise? It's a process but you'll find something that works!

Thanks! Would you consider my acne moderate or severe?
