Help With Forehead Red Mark/scar

Hello all, could use some help. I'm 34 years old, and have never really experienced acne before. I was born with a skin condition called eczema, which caused severely dry skin, among other far worse things....which probably prevented me from getting acne. As I have gotten older, and my eczema has faded, I start to get the odd zit here and there.

So 2 months ago I got the biggest zit of my life smack dab in the middle of my forehead. The thing was so big it actually hurt, and eventually erupted after reaching its biggest size. Unfortunately now I have severely discolored skin where the zit was, as well a scar that looks like someone jammed a toothpick in my forehead. I've tried all kinds of treatments...proactiv, neosporin, maderma. Unfortunately nothing has reduced the redness or closed up the hole. I made an appointment with a dermatologist in a couple weeks but was wondering if people who are far more familiar with acne could take a look and let me know what you think I should do, or what options I have available.

I really wouldn't mind if this was anywhere else on my face, but it's location makes me extremely self conscious, and when I look in the mirror, it's all I see. Will it ever heal on it's own? It's been 2 months and is most discouraging that it hasn't reduced it's discoloration.

Thanks again for reading and appreciate you helping this newbie. Hope all are well.

Try dabbing some diluted ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) on it like a toner. This should lighten the mark (which I don't believe is a permanent scar).

Do this twice daily and you should see it begin to lighten.

I think that using apple cider vinegar twice daily is too much. I'd rather say one application every 2 or 3 days. Lemon juice is also good. But be careful it may burn your skin if you use it daily. Argan oil could help too.
