Fraxel Laser For Red Marks/hyperpigmentation?

Some background information about me, I am a 23 year old male with oily skin of east asian heritage that still breaks out every now and then. I use a mild cleanser along with 2.5% BP and moisturizer at night which keeps my breakouts somewhat under control. I've tried solodyn, atralin, and acanya but none of those have done much for me. Although I don't have much active acne right now, I do have a ton of red marks and hyperpigmentation left over. It seems like the old marks never fade and new ones just keep piling on continuously. After seeing my second dermatologist, she recommended I proceed with 4 sessions of the Fraxel Laser, spaced 1 month apart. However, I am very skeptical of her recommendation. It seemed like straight from the beginning she was trying to sell me the lasers and every question came back to discussing the Fraxel laser.

I was wondering if the Fraxel laser would be a good idea for me to clear up my red marks? I am asking because for every success story raving about how great the Fraxel lasers are, there is a negative review strongly against it. Most importantly, most of the people who underwent the Fraxel laser treatment wanted to treat atrophic scars while my main concern is the red marks. I also understand Asians are more prone to hyperpigmentation from the Fraxel laser and more hyperpigmentation is the last thing I could possibly want right now. I've tried ACV along with many other topicals and home remedies to no avail...

I've also included some pictures. Thanks in advance!

After doing more research, the V beam seems to be a better treatment option for existing acne and if redness is the primary concern rather than structural scarring. I will keep this thread updated afetr consulting with another dematologist later on this week regarding V beam and Fraxel!

I wouldnt go for Fraxel if you are only concerned about redness.

I went through 5 sessions of Fraxel about 2 years ago and it didnt do much for my red/brown marks but my scars got really better
