Can you substitute this product in place of dan's cleanser? Then follow the BP and moisturizer. Or i am restricted to use this cleanser only. Another question, some people say that they use this cleanser during shower, but at the end of shower or at the beginning?

Thank you

I wouldnt suggest doing that. Thats considered adding in products that are not part of the regimen and can lead to irritation. Aqua Glycolic is 12% I believe and if you also use bp, that will create a lot of irritation.

Hi, anybody ever tried MD Forte's glycolic cleanser? I just thought that because I'm in Australia, it might be easier to find this one. Anyway, it has higher ratings on MUA, so it should be good...

It doesn't uses pure glycolic acid as the active ingredient, but glycolic compound instead, which is "a complex, pH-balanced mixture of glycolic acid, ammonium glycolate, purified water, and higher-molecular-weight oligomers of glycolic acid, with an approximate activity level of 60%, and is designated on product labels as the ingredients "glycolic acid" and "ammonium glycolate."

There are 3 formulations, I (12% glycolic), II (15% glycolic) and III (20% glycolic). The one with the high ratings on MUC is the II formula.

Here's the ingredient list of I:

Purified Water (Aqua), Ammonium Glycolate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycolic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Sorbitol, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

II:

Purified Water (Aqua), Glycolic (and) Ammonium Glycolate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Sorbitol, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

and III:

Purified Water (Aqua), Glycolic Acid (and) Ammonium Glycolate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Sorbitol, Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

Some of those ingredients look really comedogenic to me...

Hey I use Glytone cleanser which also has glycolic acid, and it seems to be OK, but I hasn't WOWED me. It's also $30, so I'm ordering some Aqua Glycolic right now...can I expect any special results though? I mean, is it just the g. acid that's creating these results or something in the Aqua Glycolic besides that.

Here are the ingredients for Glytone:

Water, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, TEA-Dodecylbenzenesulfonate, Blue 1, Green 3

Aqua Glycolic:

Purified Water, Glycolic Acid, Ammonium Glycolate, Cetyl Alcohol, Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, Sorbitol, Stearyl Alcohol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

Hmmm...at least AG doesn't have coloring and it seems like it has more acid, so worth a shot...I'm just wondering if anyone had used a glycolic acid cleanser before and experienced much better results with the AG...

Also getting the body wash too!

I've tried Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion which has AHA's...

The stuff always stung when I put it on and really did more harm then good -- I'm hesitant to try this product too

This product doesn't sting nor flakes ur skin. My red marks looks better but not remarkable, I am still waiting for the miracle to happen.

BTW, I have lots of them so it might just take time.

I use proactiv toner which has glycolic acid and I've noticed that it helps alot. Do you think I should get the aqua glycolic cleanser also?

My current regimen is: wash with dove cloth things, proactiv toner, spot treat with BP

Thanks

Can people be allergic to things with glycolic acid? I tried a cream with AHA in it and I broke out, so my doctor told me PHA was less strong and I should try that.

Is this Aqua Glycolic aslo affective on Body Red marks. I really don't need to worry about my face becasue I have no acne or red marks on my face, just my chest and back.

I noticed they solde a shampoo and body cleanser withg 14% glycolic. Which would be better for clearing red marks. The Shampoo and Body cleanser or the face cleanser?

I ordered the Body Wash too, and I'd imagine that it'd be stronger b/c body skin is less sensitive and it would probably lather better too. I used my face wash as a body cleanser once, and I might be imagining this, but I think it got rid of a lot of bumps of my legs.

I just noticed they have a Hand and Body lotion too. It says it Balances uneven skin tone

Moisturizes dry skin, Exfoliates dead skin. With 14% glycolic compound.

I don't know what to choose for red marks just on my back and chest.

-Facial Cleanser

-Shampoo and Body Cleaser

-Hand and Body Lotion

Any ideas? I guess I could jsut order their body pack wich comes with both the body cleanser and body lotion

This isn't a good idea. Cleansers have cleaning agents in them that can irritate your skin if left on too long. If you want something to leave on the skin, get a GA toner or lotion!

true... figured it wasnt a good idea to leave a 12% GA on for 3-5 mins daily

preciate it
