The esthetician told me i can use some aloe vera or cocoa butter on the spots. Are these really good remedies? somehow I feel he just wanted to make me feel better. You probably misused the chemical peels, chemical peels can be very tricky to use by yourself, next time get someone professional to do it for you, forking out some money is better than discoloring you tone. Aloe ver and cocoa butter soothes down redness. Hm.. I am not sure, hyperpigmentation is from the acne, but yours are from chemical peels. I think it's worth it to try though, because exfoliating with Aqua Glycolic will shed those pink or red spots and turn up the new good looking skin cells.

Last night, I put a lot of cocoa butter on my entire face especially on the red spots and voila! today the red spot seemed to have lightened down a bit. I did it again tonite and might do it for few more weeks until I see an even bigger improvement. I am definitely looking forward to trying this aqua glycolic as well! 😎

Cleanser, imo, it is the best of all 3(toner, and face cream).

hey guys i have a quick question, I just got chemical peel last week and the derm gave me a whole bottle of aqua glycolic for free. Also he switched me from differin.3 to tazorac. I remember when I was on differin that i would have to cleanse with a regular cleanser like cetaphil before washing with a benzoyl peroxide wash in the morning in order to wash off the differin. Should I use only the aqua glycolic in the morning on dry skin or should i wash the tazorac off first?

Just apply it on dry skin, you don't need to wash off the tazorac.

how long do you guys leave your GA cleanser on?

i apply it dry like many of you have said and massage it in for about 2 minutes then rinse it off.

i read that in order for GA to work you need to leave it on for 30 minutes, which doesn't seem reasonable unless it was in a serum that stays on all day.

Where did you hear that from? I dont think the person who told you that is giving you accurate information. When I was using AG, I only left it on for a few seconds and then I added water, messaged it more, and then I rinsed it off

That person is wrong.... max time you need to massage it for is 30 seconds to a minute.

This is a cleanser, not a serum, so don't leave it on.

Thanks for the concern. I'm already done using the cocoa butter. I only needed it to calm the redness down. I know I said i was gonna use it for few weeks because I thought it would take awhile for the redness to go away but after few days, they were gone. I'm not planning on using it as a regimen. 😆

I've read all pages in this thread, and I'm really considering purchasing this product. Only because I feel like it would be quicker, and easier than putting Vitamin-E oil on my red marks. I'm really looking for results here, guys. These red marks are very annoying and they make me extremely insecure. I have a very light, beautiful skin tone on my face, except for these damn marks in some places. My acne is under control, so I'm hoping this product doesn't break me out?

I do not recommend you get all three of the products, the toner and face cream do not get very good reviews. Just use cleanser.

If I am on dan's regimen, would I be better off replacing the cleanser with the aqua glycolic cleanser and still using the BP, or should i drop the BP/regimen altogether if I am going to try the AG?

I've been using Aqua Glycolic for three months now and I've been very patient and I'm still breaking out all over. It smooths my skin but it makes me break out in crazy places. I'm thinking about discontinuing it and regret trying it since I got redmarks now and my redmarks take years to heal.

I made the same mistake as you and quit BP and started only using AG.

Don't expect AG to prevent all of your acne...

I think many people are getting confused about this product, I kind of want to set it straight. This product is not like BP or any acne curing product, it is an exfoliant, for most of us it will not make the acne better, but it helps with skin cell turn overs, thus is more effective for hyperpigmentation.

I am not sure either but I think its only prescription drugs you cannot sell over acne.org; that is very understandable as it is incredibly dangerous.
