Glycolic acid is amazing!! I use the 12% glycolic souffle and its made a HUGE difference in my red marks.

I have two containers of that stuff but I'm scared to try it because I have very, very sensitive skin. 😐

SF is like a 45min. drive, I don't want to go that far.

Take BART. Wouldnt you rather drive that far than wait a week or two to get it in the mail?

lol its ok... i already ordered it online, not like im crazy and need to get it ASAP.

Y will this stiff make u dry

I thought GA do this chemical reaction on ur face and make ur flaky dead skin get off so u won't be flaky and dry isn't it?

Think about it, when your face gets flaky, that's when the dead skin is coming off...

is that really true that when your skin flakes the dead skin is coming off? or is it just a guess.

well anyways i just got my aqua glycolic in the mail today, i tried it and kept it on my face for about 30 seconds and it hasnt dried my face or anything, so so far so good.

How long did it take you to receive your aqua glycolic?

really quick like 2 or 3 business days

well after 2 uses nothing has changed but i doubt any product would work after 1 day.

and acne battle, why is it important that the aqua glycolic suds up?

I don't think it's important, I think she was just saying that if you would LIKE it to suds up, you can use a brush, plus the brush adds as an exfoliant. Though exfoliation in conjunction with this product is not necessarily needed, since glycolic acid breaks down the bonds that hold your dead skin cells together, effectively "dissolving" the top layer of dead skin and washing it away when rinsing it off.

Hi, I ordered this product from Drugstore.com - Should arrive in 2 days..

I'm really excited to use it and finally get rid of all these red marks on my cheeks / especially

under my nose...

I have a question for Mr.Red MArk as well as every1 who used it though -

How long is really the 'period' in which your skin has to get used to it,

in other words, how long did it take before u visibly started noticing red marks vanishing ?

And did it REALLY, REALLY Get rid of your red marks? Because for me right now, active acne

isn't a big concern.. The red marks leftover are my big concern

Thanks, and go AG!

I've only been using this product for about a week now, and I have already noticed a difference in my red marks. You MAY break out in the beginning, but it all depends on the individual. I didn't break out at all (yet), but I think that's because I haven't been regularly using any weird chemicals on my face, like BP... Just natural oils (TTO, Jojoba, Emu), which I still do.

Does it peel your skin acne battle?... also what if i continue to use BP as a spot treatment?

ALSO, I have Proactiv toner (6% GA with aloe and witch hazel) would this work as good as AG?

Thanks

It does peel my skin a little bit. The fruit of the earth is wonderful though. I like the CeraVe also but I only use that in the day time. If I use it at night, I tend to get more pustules that look like theyre gonna burst lol I wouldnt recommend using the bp as a spot treatment if you are gonna use Aqua Glycolic. AG is pretty harsh. Its 12 or 14 percent, I forget which. BP is also very harsh so the two wouldnt be very compatable. In terms of proactiv, I dont like their products. I wouldnt use anything proactiv

I'm using this with BP and lately my skin has had a few tiny tiny zits and it's been feeling kind of rough...However, I haven't had a single big pimple since then.

So should I keep using it? No big zits, but my skin feels weird! When I used Glytone, my skin was soft, but still broke out. Hmm...

Doesn't seem to be doing much for MY red marks though, I'm thinking of trying a lactic acid peel...

Stick with it and make sure you moisturize at least in the day time. It wont fix your acne over night but it does work well

got my cleanser and face cream today, just washed with the cleanser. One thing I notice about the cleanser is that when your finished rinsing and dry your face, it doesn't feel dry. Normally, when I use my Basis cleanser, after I rinse and dry, my face does feel soft and smooth but like dry. And also, it doesn't really lather up... but oh well.

Well you need it to clean your face right? I mean dont you make your shampoo suds up when you wash your hair? If it doesnt suds up, you wont be as clean and it wont do as good of a job, right?

Yeah it doesnt lather up well. Thats why you put it on dry skin, rub it in, then you rub your hands together and add water to it. Finally, you message your face once more with the cleanser and water and then you wash it off

Can you use BP and this product together? Also, is the cleanser or toner more effective?

Edit: What are the ingredients?

From what I understand many ppl are not liking the toner as much, so def go w/ the cleanser. the ingredients in the cleanser are: peurified water, glycolic acid, ammonium glycolate, cetyl alcohol, ammonium laureth sulfate, sorbitol, stearyl alcohol, methylparaben, propylparaben.

I just called up the pharmacy at CVS and asked them to order this for me. Less than 24 hours later it was there in the pharmacy. My friend is a pharmacist at Walgreens and said they can order this but the price was going to be over $5 more than CVS. It was more expensive than going to drugstore.com or amazon but I didn't have to wait 1-2 weeks for delivery or pay any fees. Also, if you go to the CVS website and sign up to get specials by email they will send you a coupon for $4 off $20 purchase. You'll have to buy something else to get the savings, so I bought two.

I'm really thinking about giving this a try. I just have the little white heads and of course the red marks left. So I'll give it a try. Should I just use the cleanser or use the face cream too?

It's kind of your call. I'm just using the cleanser, and it's working great so far.

I should have mine within the next few days.. I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm just going to keep telling myself that this isn't going to work, just as all of the other "miracles" I have come across.

But I truly and sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Wait, so is anyone using Tea Tree and/or Jojoba Oil with this? Or do you guys not moisturize at ALL?

Give me specifics.. I really want this to work, and want to do everything right,

I just received the cleanser yesterday and was so excited because of all the great things that are being said on here. I just got done using it in the shower and one thing I noticed was it made my skin feel a lot smoother. I know it will take at least a few times to start seeing the red marks fade but I like what I see so far! I had to moisturize though, which I usually don't do. I noticed that my skin was a little dry but the lotion cleared that up.

use somthing with SPF if your cleansing with it in the morning.

anyways i used this products twice a day for 2 and a half days. So far it has broke me out a bit, but i heard that is very common right when u start using it. THough I don't understand why it even breaks you out in the first place if it says its non-comedgenic right on the bottle. it also gave me these weird small rash bumps but those went away after a day. After i cleanse with it in the mroning i use a SPF 30 moisturizing sun screen before i go off to school and im out in the sun regulary (after school sports everyday. gym.break) and after coming back to school today my dad said my face seemed burned, but when i looked in the mirror it looked normal to me. So i'm not sure about that. Ir hasn't done anything for my broniwhs red marks yet but its only been 3 days so I'll update on my progress later.

Yeah Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion is SPF 15 so I should be okay. But I live in Texas so I might need something a lil stronger...

yeah you will. I think the set time to stay out in the sun without sunscreen down there would probably be msot likely around 10. so you multiply this by the SPF and thats how many minutes you can go in the sun with it.

so for you:

10 (regulated minutes) x 15 (spf) = 150

150 minutes = 2 hours 30 minutes

so you can stay out in the sun for probably around 2 - 3 hours with that sunscreen.

I don't use a special moiturizer with SPF. I use an actual sun screen lotion. but i also make sure its non-comedgenic.
