I have tried everything to stop picking at my acne. Naturally, I have some, but it is not noticeable. After I pick, my acne is bright red and 100x worse, often taking more than a week to return to its normal color. The longest I have gone without picking in the last 6 months is 8 days, and since then, have been picking every other day. I am creating this topic to be held accountable, and I know that all of you in this sub-forum can relate to this problem :think:

How are you doing with avoiding picking? I know it's a hard habit to break - but you can do it!

Failed the day after posting, tried again. Just failed today on day 3. Restarting right now. Day one in progress.

Tough to break.

It is so very hard - but the good thing is that you're trying. I find that being proactive is your best chance, avoid mirrors as much as possible, keep your hands away from your face (keeping them busy is important), and try to use deep breathing techniques when you notice you are feeling especially stressed or anxious.

Failed again after last post, didn't pick for 4 days, failed two days ago. I picked yesterday AND today. I gotta have more self control and figure out a way to get rid of the urge without messing my appearance up. I've tried watching pimple popping videos but it only reminds me of what I could be getting out of my face.
