Thanks everyone for the suggestions and comments. I keep trying to talk to my mom about a dermatologist, but she just gets mad and says its hormonal acne, nothing can take it away. We would just be wasting money Each time I bring it up she just gets mad and changes the subject. Im not really sure what to do. And Ive noticed that acne on my cheeks are scarring without me even picking at it, and its been there for a while.

I finally FINALLY convinced my mom to put me on accutane!! I just had my blood test and took my first pill today! Yaya !!!I'm just rly worried about the side effects now ! Gd luck to you , I rly rly hope that your mom would allow you to take accutane.

Wow I can™t believe I have taken accutane for 4 months already. My skin is so much clearer now! Yaya! Since I am on a very very low dose of 10g every other day, the only side effects I have experienced is a bit of dry lips and rash on my body other than that I am perfectly normal. I am still breaking out, averaging around 3 to 5 white heads per week but that is still a mass improvement!! The only issue I have now is convincing my mom to allow me to increase my dosage as my derm said that I have to take accutane for another 5 month, so in total I have to take it for 9 months, but at the start of the treatment he said that my skin would have been completely cleared by now!! Also accutane does not get rid of scars but other than that I am rly happy that I decided to take it.

Hey y™all! Sorry it™s been a while, I™ve been busy lately. I™ve actually found a product that works wonders for me! It™s called Noxzema Ultimate Clear Anti Blemish pads. 2% salycylic acid! I™ve been using this product since January, and I haven™t had a really bad breakout since. I™m down to about maybe 6 or less Whiteheads a week! Has also cleared some of my acne marks. I would totally recommend!

Hi Finermake, it™s been a while. If you™re seeing this, how is accutane working out for you? Is your skin clear?
