Advice About Hormonal Acne

Hey guys, been stalking these forums but not quite found anything that is the same situation as me.

Back story- I'm a 26 yr old female from the UK. I have had anorexia for 3 years (currently in recovery but still underweight) in trying to gain though. However, I haven't had my period in about 2.5 years.

I am experiencing the worst cystic acne I've had in my life all across my chin and around my mouth. I've always had acne prone skin but never to this extent.

I am very aware that due to my lack of periods and low body weight and the location of my acne that it is almost certainly hormone related.

I really don't want to go down harsh antibiotics route but I have a GP appointment this week and I'm thinking of asking to go onto dianette or Yasmin pill to help clear my skin?

Do you think this will work/help?

Or will not having a period means nothing can really help?

Any advice would be so much appreciated.

I hope we can all find happiness from this cruel condition.

Unless the period problem is not cleared the acne would continue to come so I suggest you do something about your period and I am sure you'll see huge differnce on your skin!

Also are you suffering from PCOS?

When I started skipping my periods after being super super stressed, that's when my acne started. When my periods starting coming once I relaxed, the acne did not stop! Still searching for a cure. I think when we skip ovulation, the ovaries and/or adrenals start over-producing testosterone
