hi, I'm 17 yrs old. I started getting acne in my 10th grade and i was 15 that time. I still have acne and I just dont know what products to try anymore, it's depressing that sometimes I would not even go to school just to hide my face from everyone.
So, I have super oily skin and moderate acne and some whiteheads there and there.
I've heard a lot of positive things about using braggs apple cider vinegar and so I decided to try it, i diluted it in 50 50 water and acv and apply it on my face every morning and before I go to sleep. I've been using it for 2 weeks and idk but i don't really see any results, I still get whiteheads and some bumps and my face is still really oily.
Anyone using or have tried acv as their toner, how many weeks did you wait before you start seeing results? Pls tell me if I should stop or still continue using this?
Also anyone could pls suggest me a good moisturizer that will not clog my pores and make my face oilier :((
Thank you

Do you shake the ACV and water so that they are thoroughly mixed? Or try adding aloe vera gel with the mixture, helps too. And try Olay Hydrating Gel moisturizer. A lot of people swear by it and you don't have to break the bank. What moisturizer are you using right now? One more thing, you mentioned you use this in the morning also, do you apply sunscreen? Because I know ACV can make the skin sensitive to sun.
I tried making my own ACV concoctions but I could never nail the concentration... I also think you might be using it too much.
I use this at night for two days then I take a day break: http://www.justnaturalskincare.com/9/acne/vinegar-acne-face-wash.html It's expensive but literally lasts forever for me. It started clearing my face visiblyafter 3days(no joke...)
I don't use it as a face wash though.I wash my face with my soap at night, then I put thison, wait until it dries, put on moisturizer and I leave them on for the night. Then I rinse in the morning(no soap only water) andput on moisturizer and I'm done.
My daughter started to break out when she turned 7, I researched many products. In the course of this journey I found a product called KidSkin, It's active ingredients are mostly natural and it is very effective. Her skin is doing so much better. What I love about this product is that ithas not over dried her skin. KidSkin also has a spot treatment which I love to use myself.I have also learned that there are many things we should not do when cleansing, for example: don't over scrub, this causes skin irritation and will make you break out more. Also remember to wash your hands before your wash your face, if your hands are oily and you wash your face with dirty hands you transfer the oil and dirt to your face. I Hope some of these tips will help you.
Don't rush something or relentlessly look for others reaction time to a product as we are all different and thus we will react/progress differently. Be patient. You may see some improvements in as little as 72 hours or it may take the typical 4-6 weeks of consistent and diligent repetition. Don't over do it and lead to a instance of acute irritation due to chemical degradation. Our skin, especially on our face is highly sensitive! Treat it like a newborn.
