Hi everyone!
My name is Bell. I recently started a B5 (Pantothenic acid) regiment. I will start in order from the beginning. I researched this thoroughly before finally saying yes to trying it. (Plus I was desperate..)
Week one: I started off by taking 2 grams a day and ended the week with 3 grams a day
Side effects- diarrhea ... Sorry but true, bloated tummy subsided after 3 days.
Week two: slowly started moving to 5 grams a day
Side effects- dry mouth, head aches
My skin was a lot less oily. Which helped with keeping make up on
Week three: up to 7grams a day
Side effects: head aches, and initial breakout period has begun! Bad! They are bad. Your skin really purges a lot out.
My skin was now almost dry. Use moisturizer.
Week four: now on 10 grams a day. Initial break out is slow down. Almost no oil on my face.
In addition to the B5, I took a multivitamin every day and a B100 complex vitamin. Keeps the body even with vitamins.
Tips: ease into the mega dosing. Your body does react to it so let it adjust. Headaches were my main problem. Break the doses up to 4 or even 5 times a day.
Initial breakout will most likely happen to you. Everyone's skin is different. My own sister has the most flawless skin and she smokes and eats junk food... Unlucky me I guess lol
During the initial break out DO NOT TOUCH THEM!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT TOUCH THEM!! I am the biggest picker ever. I started picking and squeezing and the got so irritated I looked worse than ever! They will itch so bad because your skin is so much more dry than before. Your skin will be really tender too! Exfoliate ONLY if you have NOT picked or squeezed at the blemishes. If you exfoliate an open blemish it will only irritate and spread them.
Drink 10 cups of water a day. It will help with the mega dosing, initial breakout and dry skin. Water alone will do amazing things for your skin stay hydrated!!!
Get tea tree oil for your blemishes it really helps draw out the impurities and cut the blemish life cycle in half.
Steam your face then run an ice cube over it.
If you don't already have a healthy life style. Adopt one. It will not only help your face but your body and mind. I walk 30 mins every morning and night. I juice every morning. 3 carrots, 1 apple, 1 small beet, 6 inches of a cucumber and a piece of ginger. It's actually really delish!
