I have posted before in an attempt to help others. I have symptoms that after exhaustive internet searches for 9 years, I always landed on "Morgellons". I am in a genetic research study - due to my low Natural Killer Cells. It's part of your Immune System. You can find this research study by Googling that with NY, It is an open enrollment study/still accepting others - if - and ONLY if - you have your Natural Killer Cells tested. Two different blood tests - one for numbers, and one for function. Make sure you get both, and you must have them tested more than once before contacting study. Otherwise, you will just be denied.
I recently found out that 2 people - who apparently look like me - got into this study. I have thought that my words were useless to others - words that I would have begged for 9 years ago. If it's you, I'd love to talk to you. I'll know it's you as you will have specific details not shared here.
In addition to all of the Immune blood tests and Natural Killer Cell blood test results I have posted prior, I have also recently found Endocrine issues. Testing is not complete - just not comprehensively tested, and technically the genetic testing ought to circumvent another 30 blood tests. However, DX's with Central Hypothyroidism - Typically caused by a tumor in your Pituitary Gland - something like 95% of cases are due to a tumor/Adenoma. My MRI showed that I do not have a tumor. Central Hypothyroidism is not an issue with your Thyroid, but with Hypothalamus. Research that. Slow healing wounds? Sensations of crawling? Ulcers with white plugs = otherwise known as Keratin Plugs - all of those are controlled by your Hypothalamus/Pituitary. Other issues, such as energy, brain fog, hair/nails, digestion, headaches, sleep issues, etc, etc - all can be contributed to your Neuroendocrine System. Immune issues are just a symptom - as research illustrates that your Endocrine System has an "Axis" to immune (as well as sex hormones, intestines, etc - look up Endocrine Axis).
All for now.
What is NTC testing? Can't seem to find that blood test with regards to what you express. Can you please direct me to a lab test?
Due to Immune deficiencies involved, you can be susceptible to atypical infections.
