Hi. This might sound ridiculous but I swear my acne is allergic. I'm 37 years old, it's not because of hormones for me. Almost every goddamn product I put on my face breaks me out, whether it's a basic soap or face wash, no matter how "gentle" it's advertised as. As soon as I use a face wash I know whether or not it's going to ruin me because my skin starts tingling if it's not suitable. If I then keep using it in a few days I'll break out moderately and it will get worse and worse.

I thought I just had bad acne until by chance one day I tried a random face wash that didn't bother my skin at all. It felt completely neutral on my face and my acne simply ceased. Unfortunately that company changed their formula and I no longer have access to it. Incidentally there was also one other face wash I once tried in a hotel room that was also completely neutral on my skin. I tried emailing them to buy it but they said they only deliver to big hotel chains and don't do individual sales like that. Shit happens.

Anyway I'm kinda desperate now. I just want to make the most basic home made cleanser, surely it's possible? If I just have a solution that has a basic cleansing agent and solvent for it hopefully it'll work for me. Note I'm not looking for "natural" solutions like using honey or whatever as there's no guarantee that stuff won't break me out too. I've tried natural remedies before and they didn't work. I just wanna make a very basic chemical formula.

If you have any ideas on what will help I'd be very grateful. Thank you!

To be honest, if your skin is that reactive, it may be best to leave it alone and think about if your skin inflammation rooted in something you're consuming. Have you seen a naturopath to see if you have any food sensitivities that may be triggering your skin inflammation?
