Hello there.
For about five years now I've been happily using Dermalex Acne cream, maybe once every other day, admittedly not to fix acne (at least I don't think so) but to deal with a dry redness on the face, usually the cheek area, which flares up a little but quite regularly. As of October last year, the makers of Dermalex Acne have stopped making the product, so I'm now on a quest to find whatever is the most similar cream to it, that's still available over the counter - I guess we're talking about mild treatment here. From an initial search, I saw another product called Urgo Acneum which seemed to have the exact same ingredients, but it looks like that that product was discontinued back in 2023. So instead of flailing around over multiple internet shops, I thought I'd check here first in case some veterans in the field were already aware of something that slots into Dermalex Acne's place. Again, given that I don't think I have acne, I'm thinking that I should be focusing on just finding whatever product matches what was already working for me, instead of checking out what works best for acne treatment in general.
Thanks for any help,
Matt
Instead of wasting money on acne products, start eating papayas and cucumbers daily. Papaya is highly effective for acne-prone skin due to the enzyme papain, which exfoliates dead skin cells, unclogs pores, and reduces inflammation. Cucumber helps treat acne by soothing inflammation, reducing redness, and managing excess oil due to its high water content, vitamin C, and caffeic acid. Try it for a week.
Just in case a wizard out there can spot the key details here, I'm pasting the ingredients from Dermalex Acne. Maybe someone will know which ones are the most important, so I could focus on them in my ongoing search. It's funny, by having this pause in applying cream, i can see that the cream really was helping out; still, am looking forward to finding a solution!

Apparently, many face treatments use 'benzoyl peroxide' and 'salicyclic acid', but this Dermalex Acne stuff has neither. I don't know whether that's important or not; I just know I'd like to get as close to the magic as possible!
