OK, i'm eating healthy since 2 weeks, a lot of fruits and veggies, no dairy almost nothing of gluten, wheat and guess what? I'm having one of the WORST BREAKOUTS since stopped my last course of accutane.

I'm also taking zinc as supplement (1 month) and azelaic acid on the face and is not working anymore! What the fuck is going on?

I'm almost sure that diet has nothing to do with acne, and i dont believe in "purging" come on... definetly going back to Isotretinoin is not a option anymore since my body is already fucked up with so many courses of this drug.

Can someone tell me why is that? Acne is fucking hormonal, i'm sure. Totally hopeless.

Like the above poster said, it could be your body going through changes. Give it 3 months and see if things calm down. Retinoids also purge the skin so that is something to consider.

There is also the possibility that you are eating something that does not agree with you. Remember that not all healthy food is healthy for you. Keep at it.

FYI, i can relate to multiple courses of accutane. I've done 3

Thanks, i've done 5.

I was doing OK and keeping acne under control with zinc and azelaic acid and eating "normal", i don't like milk so i've not been on dairy for a long time. But since 2 weeks i'm eating more raw veggies, including detox juice made ofcarrots and beets, i've read this is good for gut and skin, i'm my skin starts to get bad again, like before, seems nothing is working anymore, i dont know.I do not believe that diet has so much influence on our skin, though I think it tends to get worse if we eat bad things, but i still think this is hormonal / genetic related, since i've done so many courses of Accutane and these still right here. I was thinking in a low dose treatment, but i think this must be fatal and bring me some serious inssues in the future.

i'm not seeing many people on this topic having success on it.Seems to be more like a particular case. And i live in tropical country, i don't really think this must be my case, but by the way what kind of blood testdiagnose lack of vitamin D?

from what ive read, you can have all sort of tests done: vitamin levels, hormonal levels, check for diet problems, bacterial culture test etc.

if i was rich, i would get tested for everything because i would no doubt find out what my skin problem was, then i could treat it accordingly.

This.

Thats why Acne is one of the most complex diseases, it can be caused by so many factors...the lucky ones find it out and treat them properly, others grow out their acne naturally but for many people is like a russian roulette.
