Okay so I started getting bumps around 2k15 and I think thats when I started shaving my face although Im not tooooo sure about this but yeah
i started getting skin coloured bumps all over my face, I also started getting light skin coloured bumps which were basically exposed hard pieces of sebum I think?? Not sure. My texture just went REALLY bad and you could definitely notice it all in sunlight.
It became really really bad in 2k16 and then I started taking antibiotics and they calmed down and went away however I was still shaving every now and then
by the way when I tried popping the skin coloured bumps, white strings of a creamy substance came out and also hard oval plugs that looked yellow. Gross
now these bumps are back and increasing and I was thinking maybe its due to shaving so I have stopped that and now use a trimmer. But these bumps STILL keep appearing, Although i have a lot less bumps that produce that white stringy substance and a lot more that produce hard yellow oval substance. Today I decided to open one of the plugs up. I split it open with my fingernail and found a hair inside! It wasnt coiled up though it just seemed to be growing straight into the yellow thing and then growing outwards, normally ingrown hairs are coiled up?? Then I started popping more and more of these bumps and found more hairs. Im not sure if they are ingrowns because trimmers dont even give close shaves, mine just cuts my facial hairs very short. I also have these bumps on places where I havent trimmed.. I really dont know what these bumps could be, Ive tried charcoal, witch hazel, tea tree, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, adapalene and aloe Vera, nothing has worked
can someone please offer some advice ?
I think its clogged pores, I too have popped some of my bumps and found that white string to come out but its not shaving because I had started shaving my cheeks after I had those bumps. Something in your routine is clogging your pores up. I had purchased a biore charcoal bar and thats what had caused all of my bumps so I read the ingredients and found that it had sodium chloride in it which extremely pore clogging so I suggest looking at what you put on your face to prevent anymore.
I was actually thinking it may be due to something in my routine hmm.. it's so annoying that some skin care products are just really not that good for our skin when they are meant to do the complete opposite
i will have a look at some of the ingredients in the products i use and research a bit more and find out if they are clogging up my pores
thanks for the reply!
Yes! Something in the routine is either to harsh for your skin or either just really pore clogging. I had to try sooo many routines to not get any more of those bumps filled with strings haha(but I have still the ones that I had). I usually use cosdna.com to see if a product just causes more irritation or acne. Good luck
