Okay, I'm freaking out because I've been breaking out so bad lately but I've finally got my skin looking decent enough and tomorrow I'm seeing my best friend for the first time in like two months! Obviously she doesn't care what I look like but I do! I just have this irrational fear that she'll be thinking "Wow her skin got even worse... didnt think that was possible..." which is stupid but I can't help it!

Anyway I'm back at home for the weekend and I ate some pretty greasy stuff with my family 🙁 And when closely examining my skin I see a few spots I'm scared will surface overnight so I don't want to skip BP! But also I put on Vitamin C serum every other night and I don't want to skip that either because it really helps my red marks. (Side question: Does it effect breakouts/acne too? I havent seen a clear answer to the effects of Vitamin C on that, just that it gets rid of marks and is anti-aging)

I've read that you shouldn't layer the two, that they cancel out or something? Is there an amount of time I could wait between applying them both where they would still be efficient, or do you think it'd be smartest just to not use vitamin C until tomorrow night? I'm just scared I'll wake up and look awful!

You can use vit c serum in the morning, then bp at night. Yes, you're right, they both deactivate each other when layered.

Yup, I'd advise not to use benzoyl peroxide and Vitamin C in the same routine. Those are both active ingredients and can cause your skin to be irritated and inflamed- which will do more damage than help.

I actually use a lot of Korean products that help with calming down my skin! Love em. Be sure to moisturize all the time too, because that helps your skin with renewing and regenerating itself.
