Tiny white plugs

I finally figured out our bites began from fuzz/lint on our clothes. Inside the lint was a black tiny speck that bit. If you scratched bite eventually a cylinder larva like object, like ones posted on site would be on alcohol wipe. Saw with magnifying glass.all cotton clothes recently purchased and from other countries, one specifically. Some items had lint balls or strings sticking straight out of item in stores. Even washed prior to wearing just transferred to other clothes. We are covered with these bites that look exactly like posts. To date still itching. House sprayed, carpets steamed, beds etc.one site said from infected soil cotton was grown in and mites? Or insect could actually be seen in cotton when picked. We have seen several dermatologist who say dont scratch use Vaseline and cover. I believe These are parasites if you ask me. We shower, use soap rinse, cover body with alcohol in circular motion especially on burning areas using hands. Those White dots come out, exactly like ones posted by others. Dry off spray with lice/mite spray. Dress place all towels in ziplock for hot washing. Then cover worse spots with vasline. Still waiting for cure almost year. Was told Ivermectin helps but hospital wont let drs write scripts. What a mess.

Praying for all, God Bless

Please see my post above. You most likely have candida, or possibly, malassezia, from taking antibiotics. Have you take antibiotics in the last 6-12 months?

Use an anti-fungal cream topically on your face. If you cannot get nystatin, use clotrimazole cream. I find mixing an anti-fungal azole cream (clotrimazole, micanazole, etc) with a cream containing lidocaine boosts the anti-fungal effect. Be careful with lidocane cream as it can cause side-effects - check the warnings. The topical azole anti-fungal creams are quite safe, when used topically. The fungus plays havoc with the follicles and process of keratin production in skin. The white things are infected hairs and related matter caused by the fungus. Healing won't occur until the fungus is killed.

The question is can EVERYONE of you swear on your MOTHER'S life you're not on dope? Lol bc I've used dope and this shit happened to me on a daily basis and I picked and picked bc dope is created using a special fungus so if you use it to get high it will infect your skin. No offense to anyone who might have actual dermatology issues, but science proves that the majority, NOT ALL, but the majority of ppl with these white plugs and skins issues are ppl abusing methamphetamines or even super greasy foods. Just saying. Maybe cut a certain habit outta your life and you'll see improvement. Kinda like me cutting out pill and alcohol use outta my life on top of switching to organic foods has eliminated all these strange reactions within my body.

Embarrassingly i am an illicit drug user. I have used Herion and all of its lovely acceptable forms in persuit of eventual sobriety which is a massive joke and cruel lie to fhe new n naive addicts and/or self medicating damaged population, altogether those were ingested daily for 4years. That is until the speed addiction i caught due to the legal forms of herion (i.e. methadone) so during my road to recovery using methadone i started injecting cocaine which eventually led to adderall and eventually methamphetamine which ironically got me 5 years clean from herion and any and all opiated. Unfortunately drugs take one hell of a toll on the brain and im in a endless cycle of bekng able to easily say no to using methamphetamine due to my hatred for making me nothjng but an empty vessel to regretfully having no choice but to pick it up again shortly after absence lasting 9 to 11 days for neurological activity and temporarily curing severe apathy. When i used herion, methadone, suboxone, subutex, percocet, ect. I never suffered from any type of skin disorder. Thru out my first 3 and a half years of amphetamine and methamphetamine use i never suffered issues wjth my skin and i have nervously picked my skin since i was a child still i did not suffer Anything close to this. It wasnt until i hit a severe depression and or a virus lasting 5 weeks im not sure which was the actual cause or trigger but this came out of no where n fast and has progressively gotten worse in the past 6 months out of the year n a half ive dealt with it. I will give you that when i do put the methamphetamine down for a week or two my skin improves but not enough to cause a belief it would go away if i stopped using. With that being said i am such a junk food carbs sugar glutinous type of eater due to my eating disorder directly relating to my happiness. And i will end this by saying im sorry you all have sudfered so many years without answers in my hours n hours of reaearcb mkrgellions as well as fugas were frequent contenders for my diagnosis and might i say being labeled delusional isn't something everyone can handle. Since i am an active user i wasnt able to freqjent doctors with my findings concerns n questions because automatically as our dear friwnd above has pointed out i would of been written of as a junkie who has fake bigs under there skin smh so i have been suffering alone in silence for quite sometime and i am extremely thankful i stubbled upon this site today. You all really gave me actual hope and feelings of excitement which are extremely rare occuring after a decade of abusing the natural distribution of chemical releases in my brain n i couldnt b more grateful.

Hey folks!!! Went through this for the last three years but I finally figured it out. Sporotrichosis aka Morgellons disease

I was first infected by a cat that had severe fungal infections on its skin bald spots the whole nine. The cat hit and scratched my right and and wrist which left some slow healing wounds in which a few turned into almsot crater like ulcers. 14 days later all up my arm these huge lumps appeared (along the lymph tract) and these huge lumpy nodules turned into open skin ulcers. Those white plugs in everyone. Same thing, pull them out and the bleed heavy for a moment. Multiple dermatologists that couldnt help me. One said it was possible it was a fungal form of folliculitis but the fluconozole did nothing for me. Nor did the antibiotics or the mucipron etc. what works? 150mg or potassium iodide 3x a day.

I found a liquid form on amazon for 20 bucks and use it three times a day. Its one drop per 150mg. In a matter of days the ulcers that had the thick greenish yellowishglue like substance that sticks to the wound like super glue started drying out and coming off the wound with just a wipe from paper towel. Its been over a week and theres one last sore in my right wrist almost completely healed. This thing ravaged my face my head the back of my neck my chest my shoulders.

Check out morgellons Sporotrichosis and sski or super

Can you share me with me the exact one you bought and didn't you apply topically, take orally or both?

Please read everything Aussie Scientist says - below are the mistakes Ive made recently where Ive been only just about been controlling it whereas before I had 6 months clearance before it coming back after a bad stomach bug (5 days) which knocked my immune system badly

1. Covering the sores - even with medi honey. Fungus loves moisture. We have to go against the moist wound healing approach which without a fungal issue is the best way to heal wounds. We have to air out the sore, let it scab up and dry out, which is will do as the fungal infection is tamed.
2. Using a led lamp on face. No problem with the led itself but I was using it very close to my face which is advised for the handheld ones but created some warmth and therefore again an environment that fungus likes.
3. Using cold compresses to ease inflammation - again meant the area was too moist

4. Using actives like acids too aggressively once my skin was clearer in the hope to help the red marks left behind. I am now only going to use cosrx aha/bha toner and an azelic acid serum once every 4 days and differin once every 4 days. So my regimen once healed will be acid, differin, rest day, rest day. But this will only start once my acute symptoms have subsided

5. Not washing my chin in the morning. I dont wash my face in the morning as it gets too dry but my chin can handle being washed twice and so I need to do this. I will use a ph balanced mild cleanser

6. Using skincare or makeup which flared fungal acne. We dont have the typical fungal acne which is why fungal is just dismissed by most derms. There is tons online about fungal acne so just follow that advice - simple skincare science is a good start.

7. picking! Its temporary relief but just drives the infection deeper, as the skin heals from the fungal infection the white plugs will come to the surface and can be washed away gently with a wash cloth. I made this mistake recently and my sores became the worst they ever have been. If you have picked make sure you clean the wounds with HOCI spray which is the mildest way to disinfect wounds

8. Aggressively washing out/cleaning sores/debriding wounds. Just creates more trauma and inflammation. Just use a wash cloth once a day in the evening to help lift the dead skin/scab material.

9. I didnt use a dusting powder! I managed to tame (seems to have been cured) a fungal nail/skin surrounding nail which wasnt tinea (athletes foot) it must have been candida based on pictures, symptoms. I used a urea cream which helps the fungal cream to penetrate better and then dusting powder. I did this twice a day and always made sure I had dusting powder in my sock. BUT for some reason I didnt apply this logic to my face. I feel like dusting powder is really needed. Ive just been using the foot one but have ordered a more face friendly Neals yard lavender and tea tree one

For me, the lesions seem to be due to:
Having very dry skin.
Having been on antibiotics for a long time to treat Cystic Acne.
Diet.
Being in a warm humid environment.

Dry skin means that all sorts of things can gain entry and cause problems. It also means that dead skin-cells aren't shed properly which leads to pore blockages which leads to dry skin. A vicious cycle.

On this forum there are lots of different theories as to what it is. My experience is that it might be all of them (fungi, bacteria and virus although perhaps not for the same lesion) as the result of the problems/phenomena listed previously .

I think I actually preferred having acne because the infection would eject the pore blockage. Now, some of the blockages seems to extend right down to the bottom of the hair follicle, where they remain, indefinitely.

In the cold, the inflammation, or perceived level of infection for some lesion-types, seems to decrease massively.

In my case, just some of the pore-blockages can be:
Rubbery plugs that extend to the bottom of the hair follicle that can be pulled out with tweezers/scab/patch of dead skin from using salicylicacid.
Rock hard grains of gravel that eventually soak out in the bath.
Really sharp spikes attached to rubbery feeling skin that feel virus like in nature (reminds me of a verruca in feeling).
A keratin like fur at the base of the lesion.
A really sticky glue-like substance that balls-up when you rub the lesion or thickening-skin with hand sanitiser (Really quite painful, but also feels really satisfying when the pain subsides and the pores start to empty)

I think trying to treat for a specific thing like, fungi, might be a waste of time (although of cause a topical-cream can't hurt to try) because it doesn't really address the root cause and really, do you need to know which one it is? They all die on contact with hand sanitizer, if it can reach them, and they all require a common food source. Earlier I mentioned diet and I know that there is a poster that is against this theory, but, it isn't a magic pill that yields overnight-results. Essentially you have to go on a "Ketogenic diet". You have to avoid all carbohydrates, both simple and complex (That includes alchohol because it gets broken down into another poison and sugar). Carbohydrates are addictive which alone is why many fat people struggle to lose weight. The other problem with carbohydrates is that over time they increase insulin-resistance which leads to poor wound-healing, obesity and eventually type2 diabetes and cancer. You don't actually have to be fat to suffer from insulin-resistance either (if you are extremely active you can remain thin). Anyway, the point is that you want to lower your blood-sugar levels to be as low as possible(You can run on fat but viruses, fungi and bacteria can't). If you are a fully grown adult, a day a week of fasting is actually beneficial. (Food has both good and negative attributes, but whilst there is an upper-limit for good, there is no upper-limit for bad and this is why overeating can be so problematic). It is probably going to take you two months just to get over the carbohydrate withdrawal symptoms. Then it could take 6months or more before your skin starts to clear up. Although, even if the diet-change has no effect on the skin-lesions, you will at least be much healthier in other aspects.

There are people on YouTube like Dr Eric Berg and Dr David Sinclair that are worth a watch even though they don't address this condition directly. Initially you might be sceptical about what they say, but consider this:

Just 50 or so years ago "The medical profession" performed lobotomies and was responsible for Thalidomide-related birth-defects. Obviously stupid stuff, but is the medical-profession immune from stupidity today? NO!
Male genital-mutilation is still a thing and current procedures regarding cancer are moronically stupid, to the point where it would appear that the doctors have been lobotomising each other! For instance: Cancer research UK has been in existence for 21 years and for everyone of those years has received millions in donations and yet: Cutting, Burning and Poison are the best that is available!? PLUS! The last two actually cause cancer! (The medical profession has a tragically high body-count of deaths related to their incompetency with cancer) Furthermore, drug companies want to sell drugs, so there is no research into solutions that don't make money. Plus the fact their whole way of thinking is flawed. Cancer is a software problem.
So that is my rationale for why I gave these two people the time of day.

Hey y'all! HELP! I've been trying to research my condition for months. I can't find anything on the internet about until I seen a pic of "tiny white plugs" I clicked on it and read every single story. Ok mine is different than every single one of yours! Here's mine.... a couple months ago I was sitting in bed running my finger across my face taking my nail and scraping off little Itty bitty hard things. I've been calling them seeds. (Yuuuuuck!) Anyways I've been dealing with major depression since last summer. Anyways, I've always scraped these things off my face occasionally but whole life it seems. Usually around my hair line. Well one day I noticed I felt more than usual and I decided to get a mirror out. (HUUUUUGGGEEE MISTAKE!!) And I'd watch as I scrape these white seeds out. Then I noticed it was hard to just scrape one because right next to take one was another one and another one... hundreds, thousands... it felt like there were so many in one pore.... back story real quick... I don't get acne and I never ever pick my face. Every once in a while I'd get pimples and I'd leave them alone!! They always would go away on there own. I've had pretty clear skin my whole life. I've ONLY used water to clean my face! Never have I ever used any type of soaps or face creams nothing! Ok back to story, these little itty-bitty white things on my face are not red. Infact you cant see them very good but you can feel them. I turned 41 this year. My skin is changing and seeing fine lines and all that fun stuff. But I'm just getting more of these white bumps. I decided for the first time in my life to get skin care. I even takes with an esthetician she said I had milia. Ok yea.. so I bought stuff for aging and to help milia! Well I researched milia over and over. Infact the whole damn internet and not one picture looks like what I have. Ok so in-between ordering skin care and researching...I keep scratching off hundreds of these white rice shaped things. And in some spots there were so many next to each other that I now created a sore! Some of these things pop right out after you break the skin. And others are like attarched to your soul. They won't come out unless you dig and dig and now have a sore! I became obsessed because I literally had these things in every pore all over my face. Its like an infestation of some sorts. So because I can't find anything on the internet like what I have I just thought I had 41 years worth of milia lol!! So I started using skin care. Cleanser, serum, moisturizer all the things. And I'm still picking! I want these out! Well I noticed in one area I'd pick all the white plugs out and under them was another layer of them!! What! You've got to be kidding! And the more I'd exfoliate and expose a new layer of skin the more I'd see them! There are everywhere!! Ok fast forward a bit. The skincare has made a huge difference in the texture of my skin! Its so so soft. Its never felt that soft! So its working?? Who knows! Ok another short back story... I pick my lips and fingers! Always have! If I feel a pokey I peel it off. Horrible habit. Welllll..... since I've been picking these things, I've noticed a change in the texture of my lips. The skin is different. Usually I could peel a thin layer of dry skin off. Now if I peel a piece its like 10 layers come off and bleeds!! Ok then I have started seeing white things around my lips. I scratched one and sure enough a white hard seed/plug came out! Days go on it gets worse. Now they are all over my lips! Some poke out and some are under the skin. Days go on and now the fingers that I pick.. start to feel different!! Oh hell no! Yep! Skin feels weird. I can no longer peel top layer little hangnails. Nope 5 layers come off! Sure enough days later. I literally can see the tiniest white dots under my skin. Some under and some poke out. Well I've tried my hardest not to pick. Infact I was doing pretty good but my fingers and lips continue to get so much worse. Very very dry skin and some poke out. It has spread only into areas I've picked. Then I see this post and I'm freaked out! I can't imagine what I have. The sores I created on my face are still there. Well ok the scares are still there. Seems like if I keep scrapping white plugs out that area heals faster. And I've noticed the skincare I'm using literally brings these to the surface and you can just take a finger and softly rub them off. I use tweezers. The flat edge and lightly scrape them off. But now more are coming up in different areas. Areas I don't pick at. And since the two days its taking me to read every post. My fingers and lips got so much worse! The corners of my mouth now get them pretty bad. Because that area is moist I can fill a build up and I take a finger and wipe the corner of my mouth and so many come out! I noticed you guys would take close up pictures of yours. So today I decided to go into the bathroom and pull or scrape some off and zoom in. Huge f*&"ing mistake!! I should have never ever done that. I sat down. Looked in the mirror and I had a seed poking out my top lip. So I said oh there is one. I grabbed some tweezers and you guys!! A long hair came out with it. Well I started taking pics of it. I'm pretty sure its not a hair!! It had things all attached to it and on the end of the long thing turns black! I zoomed in and oh lord baby Jesus!! Help!! The hair thing is red! One end looks like a damn fetus! I don't want to know what the hell I have. I made a derm appointment. Its on Tuesday. I saved that parasite looking creature and infact pulled and scraped off different plugs in different areas. To give to her i will insert pictures below of the fetus in my lips and others. So my sores don't ooze or get all nasty like yours. Most of mine on my face are tiny flesh or white hard things under my skin. And if I never picked them. They would of never been sores! I look like a meth head and I'm not on meth!!

I also want to add... since I've been using my skincare the sores that got the worst are now just scares. All the white seeds/plugs/fetuses are all out of some of the very first ones I made sore. I do my face twice a day. Cleanse and then put a moisturizer on. And every morning in some spots the white buggers are just literally sitting on top of my skin. Just wipe those off. Others are deeper. Sometimes my skin starts peeling and the white plugs are stuck to my skin. And sometimes a sore still has a lot left inside. My chin is by far the worst. Under my chin has a big sore that hurts! That area is so bad. Those are big ones. If I take my tweezers and slightly scrape you can literally hear them! There's that many and those ones tend to be deep!! I do want to add... I did have HPV years ago and broke out with genital wart. My ex gave them to me. I haven't had any since. But a few years ago I had a sore down there that would come and go. Doc said it was Herps!! I take Acyclovir for it. I don't take it daily anymore. Usually only if I get an outbreak. I'm gonna test a few things. I'm gonna put that athletes foot cream on one of my sores and one finger and see what happens. And I'll start taking some Acyclovir. I'm way to scared to Google pics that look like my anaconda fetus parasite looking thing! I feel so super icky! Also there is a cat in the house and I have suffered from getting fungus under my boobs and fupa off and on the last 7 months. So I mean... this literally could be anything y'all have mentioned!

Most of the people who have posted on this email string have candida or malassezia. Some people have recognised that they have malassezia. From the photos etc., I think most people have candida. The chances are that all the people on this email string have taken antibiotics in the last 12 months. Destruction of gut biota by antibiotics leads to fungal infections on the skin and elsewhere. Most doctors are "in denial" about skin problems caused by malassezia and candida in otherwise healthy people.

If you have a white tongue (and skin problems and possibly gut problems, headaches etc.), you most likely have candida. If you have dandruff (and skin problems) you most likely have malassezia. The best topical treatment for malassezia is terbenafine cream (OTC in Australia). The best topical treatment for candida is nystatin cream (sold as mycostatin, OTC in Australia). If you have candida - white tongue, tiredness, headaches, feeling of disorientation, and usually skin problems, you should also take oral nystatin - sold as oral nilstat in Australia (no prescription required in Australia, but you have to as the pharmacist for it). Oral nilstat is for candida in the mouth (white tongue) and you are supposed to swallow it - it fixes candida in the gut, although it does not always fix candida in the mouth, at least not directly.

The keratin plugs and strings that people in this email string have are caused by candida or malassezia, and the body's consequent immune response, disrupting the normal process of keratin formation. Infectious microbes (both bacteria and fungi) do this on skin.

Some people may also have secondary staph infections. These are dangerous. Use very strict hygiene protocols when dealing with skin fungal infections to avoid getting secondary staph infections. Doctors often treat the secondary staph infections (which must be done, but oral antibiotics exacerbate the fungal infection), without realising that the person has a fungal infection.

I am not a medical doctor, but I have spent over 1,000 hours researching skin candida and skin malassezia. I know what I am talking about. Try the remedies above and post again, if they do not work. I have had to use more extreme remedies (because the candida infection, which followed malassezia infection - from antibiotics when I had my appendix out - was so entrenched). After eight years, have finally "got on top" of my skin candida. I am happy to provide further advice on fixing skin problems caused by candida and malassezia, if people want this advice.

Thank you so much for these posts on this thread! I am elated to find you all! I have been afflicted with this as well and have been humiliated by most of the doctors I have seen to try to find answers. I am going to try some of these remedies you guys have suggested and want to share that aloe Vera gel has helped me the most out of everything Ive tried. But Im anxious to try something to hopefully cure it. I have has the white tongue too and agree that yeast has something to do with it for sure. Also my infectious disease doctor swabbed the area and it came back with cystic acne. I swore it was a parasite because I also have burrow scars that creep slowly to make a bigger sore until I manage to find the head of whatever it is and dig it out. Aloe seems to suffocate and kill whatever that is then I can scrap out the brown dead stuff that is left. But they seem to burrow deep into my skin and when I pull them out they break off into sections, so I never see the whole thing. But if I miss getting it out, it retracts back into my skin and I cant find it until later when it peaks out again and looks like the little white heads. Anyway, glad I found this group and wish you all well in ridding yourselves of this monster!

@tinkerbell3 Im sorry youre in this fight with us. Im cycling back to frustrated bc Ive been dealing with it for ten years. I lost all my hair, it finally came back so I feel more normal again. After being gaslit for years a new Dr cultured Iraqibacter, a superbug. I thought I had Morgellons bc I found lots of similar stories online and still question that. Iraqibacter was probably a coinfection. Anyway still struggling with the plugs. The goo slime ooze stuff isnt present anymore but these sores wont heal without digging those out. And oddly my old sores have reopened and are healing backwards up the scar. One sore will start in one spot but two months later be 2 inches away but traverses there the whole time. Like pulling these things out is unleashing the next. Some areas are clumped with them going every which way and makes the skin swollen and red feeling like a bunch of skin is pinned up underneath it. I go back to dermatologist next month. Im sharing the pics and stories others are sharing to show her what Im experiencing. They dont take kindly to samples being brought in. And dont mention Morgellons theyll automatically assume youre crazy and dismiss you. I wish I had more to say. I did use double strength bactrum for a long time as well as medicated shampoo and ointments and topicals.
please keep in touch I will as well Im so tired of this. My face is scarred to hell but omg nothing else was getting it done. I accept my fate.

@skinshit Hi skinshit. I think much of this thread has been unintentionally hijacked by people with a different problem. I have the same issue as the original post and also tried everything on your list. I have just shared my experience on another forum and my current feeling is that I am allergic to dogs.

I have had the plugs lab tested and although their test did not tell me what they are, they did say that they are not fungal.

I have also recently had a biopsy which was inconclusive.

Let me tell you how I have come to my conclusion regarding dogs.

I was recently reading an article about allergies and how some can affect your skin. This made me decide to try some antihistamines.

I had some Phenergan prescribed as a sleep aid and had some left over and I bought some over over the counter Loratadine.

I have been taking the Phenergan before bed and the Loratadine when I get up in the morning.

Incredibly, the wounds are healing and I have had no new lumps appear for 10 days which is the longest period in the last 5 years.

The reason I am linking this to dogs is that this all began when I got my puppy 5.5 years ago.

I am obviously not advising you to try anything as I am yet to speak with my Doctor about it but I will keep you updated.

I really feel for everyone that has this problem as I know how low I have felt at times during the past 5 years.

Resembles psoriasis, but if you remove plaque its like rooted. Heals lighter in center, darker boarder. Almost discoid lupus like.

So I'd been on here before super excited about my LED mask.....it had worked wonders before. It really had! After several months my face started getting some spots again though. Not like before, but the problem obviously wasn't gone. But this time, it stayed mostly on my chin area BUT spread to the rest of my body instead. Very systemic to the point I started getting these things even down my legs for the first time in all these years. Not tons of them....but just a few here and there. But I was once again feeling that strange "hair standing on end" feeling all the time again. Like all my skin had static shock to it and I would get LOTS of ingrown hairs. Anyway.....so I continued my search and found this......SEBACEOUS HYPERPLASIA

I urge everyone to research Sebaceous Hyperplasia. Don't just read the first thing that pops up and walk away...really dive deep. I was Reddit and threads all over too..I found so much info. In a nutshell, the sebaceous glands overproduce and create small "tumors" in the gland that.....as we all know....literally require surgical removal in order to heal. There are other ways to fight this off by discovering what is causing it for you specifically. By researching and getting to the bottom of the factors that can cause this overstimulation....including the fact that even simple things like medications can cause your body to become over stimulated or inflamed, etc, I thought hmmm...I started taking Adderall right before I started getting these stupid things...which is a MAJOR stimulant and stressor to the body and wondered if my Adderall was causing my system to be in overdrive and in this constant state of inflammation as a result, which in turn could basically be making my skin constantly react to the constant state of "stress". So I stopped taking it just to see. And OMG.....my skin cleared up in a week and has stayed clear without doing anything special. I had 3 HUGE holes on my chin that had been there for 5 weeks and they were gone without me having to pick anything out or do anything to them or use any special creams or treatments. Apparently I found the cause of the overproduction (aka the cause of the hyperstimulation of my glands production). And they went away.

Doctors say things like Adderall don't cause things like acne or skin issues but plenty of people will tell you otherwise. Sidebar: I find that ridiculous because Adderall is an amphetamine....and even though it clearly isn't a "meth-amphetamine"....it's still an amphetamine stimulant just the same and has the same stimulating and stressing effect on the body and most people are aware that meth addicts commonly have severe skin and tissue wounds. Anyway....I can't tell you all what may be causing your body's specific stress or hyperstimulation or feeding the inflammation to cause this sebaceous hyperplasia....but these little "tumors" in the pores are literally exactly what these tiny tissue like plugs are. It also has something to do with androgens so it tends to affect men a lot for that reason and also is why it always seems to be confused with hormonal acne.

And.....Sure...they may get infected either with bacteria or fungus from the things we're touching etc ...considering the fact that we are constantly having to dig into the damn things....so that's likely why some of us have benefited or found relief from some of these random fungal treatments and stuff but clearly there's never been real cures.....but the tumors themselves.....this HAS to be what they are. Because as you'll read, the only ways to get rid of them are through surgical removal (which we've all been told we're liars about how they must be plucked out in order to heal!) and things like accutane and laser treatments are the other best options. For me....I took accutane a few years ago and they were GONE but as soon as the treatment ended, they came back. So I needed to continue my quest to discover the CAUSE and not just treat the symptoms. Like I said....for me, I stopped taking my Adderall and my face and my entire body cleared up in a week. As well as the feel of my skin all over my body.

For those that may have questions about my prior near-healing....once I made my adderall connection, I realized that was also a time when I was taking a very small dose of my Adderall as well...because I had decided to be a stay at home mom for a while and didn't need to take my full doses, so instead of 3 pills a day, I was only taking 1. So I'm guessing that was a major factor in why my face was able to stay more clear for so long with the LED mask until I got bored at home and decided to go back to work and began taking my normal doses of Adderall again etc etc. It also has to do with androgen production and it so happened that my testosterone levels also changed during this time for the first time, oddly enough, which actually helped keep the overproduction down.

Again....everyone can have a different cause with something like this.....as well as some of these people's photos on here look more like that Morgellons with those long strings of fibers.....but as for the tiny plug people....research the sebaceous hyperplasia.....dig into the info and try to connect YOUR personal dots in your own timeline when it started and with your own potential stressors or causes and go from there. Look into accutane and laser treatments if that's possible. I have been getting laser treatments and they have helped a lot.....which they will ESPECIALLY be great now for the scarring since I won't continue to have recurrences like I was before. Once you can identify your trigger, you will find that salicylic acid products will finally work for you instead of inflaming you like they have been all along. (Just like they normally did with me before and now they are making my skin absolutely glow).

@joker_2466yahoo-com please read my newest post on sebaceous hyperplasia. 🙂 Its the most recent post on page 19. Ive dealt with this for over 10 years. After reading my post, read everything you can to find what's causing your over-stimulation, stressor to your body/skin etc etc. It could be something as simple as a medication like mine that was a stimulant causing my system to be in constant stress and hyperdrive. But think along those lines. Think stresors. Think anything that started making your body overreact. We have to help ourselves because Docs are not helping us. So it's like a process of elimination. Hope it helps you. I found a lot of helpful info in forums and threads...like on Reddit and places like that where regular people are talking to each other just like this. It's just now that you know what the actual diagnosis is, its easier to know where to dive into instead of having to search "plugs in face" and stuff like that. 🙂

Hi Skinshit,

just a quick update. The results from the biopsies came back and states that they have ruled out any infections and infestations.

Annoyingly the letter also states that the biopsy just shows skin trauma that is self-inflicted. So, on my follow up appointment they are likely to call it Morgellons as that seems their go to when they cannot find any physical evidence.

As I mentioned previously, I believe it is an allergy, presumably to my dog as all dates etc fit in with that theory. That could also be why the biopsy has returned with no results as the small white things are probably just bastardised skin cells that potentially still look healthy at a cellular level.

I am still taking antihistamines, I am taking 10mg Cetirizine (over the counter) 3 times a day and have had 0 new lumps and bumps appear since. It truly is incredible, all of the old wounds that have been there for months are almost healed too.

I am as certain as I can be that this is an allergic reaction that modern medicine has not yet researched. Once I have spoken with my GP about an antihistamine that can be taken long term, I will update with that. I am not recommending that you take anything without proper medical advice but I think this is an avenue that you or anyone else with the symptoms of the OP should look into yourself with your GP.

Good luck.

@rv206 Hi RV,

I have updated above. Are you still seeing the same results using your antihistamines?

I've been reading this thread for years, and have found many people with the same issue, but none of the suggested solutions have worked.

My doctor (medical doc, NOT a derm) now thinks it's likely lupus (DLE) because of the resemblance to the "carpet tack sign," plus other symptoms of course (extremely dry skin, inflamed joints, thyroid issues, etc).

My lesions look like this, and the "hard white plugs" stick to the underside of the scab (or what he calls "scale").

Hope it helps even just one person find relief and treatment.
