I have sweat induced Acne - Pityrosporum folliculitis, i was using panoxyl 10% aquagel which controlled everything perfectly, its now been discontinued and despite using other branded 10% benzoyl peroxides such as oxy 10 and rubgy 10 they does not seem to touch it, i am taking zinc supplements and using a zinc priorthyern facial wash every day, as well as a salycilic acid face mask and benzoyl peroxide 10 % after all of those and they are still flaring up!!!! they are hard itchy lumps deep under the skin and they do not produce any puss at all , once they have been there for 2 or 3 days they start to leak a clear liquid which i assume is the trapped sweat, and end up looking like cigarette burns all over my face. they take ages to heal and i am at my whitts end with things to try! I take my makeup off before the gym, i wash my face with a anti bac wipe after the gym, plus i then do my skin scare routine at home on a night which i mention above. I have changed my makeup to all natural mineral based powder makeup for ages aswell as that was some other advice i recieved.....PLEASE HELP!

Just to add - i know some people will say well stop excersizing, for me that's not an option, i was morbidly obese weighing 156kg, i now weigh 60kg. giving up the gym is not an option for me.

Realy you should see a dr,folliculitis is hard to get rud of as theres different types so you need to find out which it is and use correct remedy for ridding it.

i got it luckily on my scalp, sweat induced and am currently using dermol 500 prescribed by a dr and it isnt working either.

theres antibiotics and all sorts of stuff to try.

unfortunately noone here could give you a definative answer as only a dr can prescribe certain things you cant buy over a counter, also we cant do the tests to find out exactly what it is.

its stubborn thats for sure, even i am thinking about going back to drs as dermol 500 aint working,it eases a little but then its back to it.

also be carefull with irritating it,fingers etc as i learned it can flate up if rubbed too much.
