Hey forum
I've been on a treatment for 4 months which kinda worked, but I stopped because I wanted to try the regimen.
A part of my old treatment was to exfoliate twice per day, however I just got really dry skin from doing it. I therefore asked my cosmetologist if this was supposed to happen and she said it was supposed to happen. So I continued but now I litterly have flakes of dead skin on top of my skin. It feels and looks awful and has completly taken all confidence from me. I'm pretty sure this is a result of over exfoliating, so I completly stopped doing that.
I hope the dead skin will subside naturally (it has now been 4 weeks without exfoliating and it's stille there) but I'm not quite sure and would like to get rid of it! I am cleansing and moisturizing evry morning and noon. My cleanser and moisturizer is from Exuviance and are formulated with AHA (the cleanser) and PHA (the moisturizer) and I'm thinking about switching them out because they may cause more dry skin???
So do you know how I can get rid of it? Keep in mind that this is not just dry skin that you get from using BP, but flakes of dead skin cells covering my face...
I've been looking at Glycolic Acid but I'm scared of exfoliting my skin after my past experiences.
Please help

Hey Christian!! I also have issues with flaky skin, as a result of acne treatments. I know you're afraid of over-exfoliating and I totally relate, but it seems if you have very visible flakes, you're gonna have to get them off somehow. I recently bought the Mineral Peel Faceby ORG Skincare and I have to say it works SO well. My skin is very sensitive and I have always had trouble finding a gentle exfoliant until this one!! It is advertised as non-abrasive, which it 100% is. Legit my face gets red from EVERYTHING except this. It's so easy to use too; it comes in a spray bottle and you just spray the solution wherever you need it, wait a few seconds, and gently rub with your fingers. It's incredible, you'll literally feel all the dead skin ball up and come off. Definitely look into it!! You'll see all the reviews are fantastic..I'm not the only one who loves it haha. Once the dead skin comes off, use a nice, creamy moisturizer daily and maybe go light on the harsh acne products until you feel your skin is back to normal. In terms of moisturizer, I would recommend CeraVe's Moisturizing Cream. It provides heavy moisture without clogging the pores. Hope this helps!
Take Inside vitamin E and 1-2 tablespoon flaxseed oil daily
its the best cure!
use gentle cleanser and avoid toners and apply acne treatment every other day and layer with moisturizer
for mask mix egg yolk and buttermilk and apply on skin for 15 min, do every 2 days till skin becomes normal
