Hydrocortisone and acne?

Long story short, I used some hydrocortisone on my chin in an attempt to get rid of a reddish mark and I did that about 6 months ago and since that Ive had some problems with acne. Its not that many pimples but I still want to fix it. It does seem like I have less problems with it when Im drinking a lot of water and my skin seems pretty dry. Its the same with my lips which tend to get a bit dry when Im not able to drink much water. Then I also have some type of pimples and red spots on the chin that doesnt want to go away, Im not completely sure what it is but it looks like some type of bumps with a brownish dry core and a red area around them. A bit hard to explain but I could upload some pictures if that would help.

Anyway, what can I do to get my skin back to normal state?

hey can you post pictures of the bumps with brownish dry core? i had a pimple/cluster kind of and it all popped and scabbed, and when the scab peeled away, its still kind of raise/theres a core i think and its really dark and has been that way for two weeks. i was actually going to try hydrocortisone to bring down inflammation.. maybe thats not such a good idea according to your experience!

I tried Hydrocortisone on my face and it made acne much worse, and it takes a while for the effects to go away. Google search says not to use it for acne and the leaflet that came with the product says it can make acne worse. Wish I had read up before using it. I do not recommend using Hydrocortisone cream or lotion for acne.

How long did it take for you for the effects to go away?
