Hey, weirdly I've found that when I moved house this meant I slept laying on the other side e.g. of my face. While the one serious side of my face that was quite bad has gotten a lot better and is continuously improving... the other side has become a lot worse. I clean my pillowcases very regularly, usually once every two days. I find it really hard sleeping on my back and it'll give me acne across the back of my neck I assume.
I'm not 100% certain if this is the cause but it seems very likely as one side of my face has always been quite clear and suddenly my worse side has became better. What should I do to avoid this? I'm pretty doubtful two days (plus I flip the pillow on the second day) is really much worse than washing a pillowcase daily.
Lately I've been avoiding all products and some triggers for me - should I use a cleanser before I sleep? My face isn't very oily. I previously had a regimen and my acne got worse but I wasn't avoiding triggers.
Got any suggestions on what to do? please let me know
Laundry detergents contain tensids (SLS) that can cause severe acne. A lot of residues stay in the laundry.
I suggest that you only wash the bed laundry with pure water and no detergent, or with pure real soap (fatty acid salts).
First, try to decontaminate the laundry by multiple washing cycles with pure water.
You can wash the laundry rarely, the dirt is not harmful to the skin (more to the nose).

Good that you avoid triggers, of course keep doing so. Skin cleansers with tensids (= practically all) damage the skin and can cause acne. Do not use them.
Also they have no useful function besides making the producers rich.

I'll try that, thanks
- I'm not sure about how damaging cleansers can be... as they're widely supported. However, no cleanser has ever really helped me; I'll just try no detergent and exfoliating every few days.
