Hi my name is Julian and I started getting a lot of pimples out of nowhere when I was just 11 it was very bad even worse than most people in highschool and during adulthood. When I was in 6th grade it started to fade a little now I'm in 9th grade and it's even worse. I was wondering if since I've had acne most of my young days will I have it when I'm in hichschool or collage since I've had acne at a young age? Or will I just have To live with it

The skin keeps renewing itself but,

It also depends on...

1) how well you eat  and drink for clear healthy skin. Google and youtube is your best source of knowledge. Acne.org forum is also a great place to learn from successful ex-acne sufferer.

2) on what you put or take away from you skin. Example, too much exfoliation cause your skin barrier thin and your skin would be too vulnerable to sun rayd and bateria.

And if you put certain products on your skin, it might help clear or make it worse. Again, google for reviews.

Eat well and healthy (view my previous posts on this forum for details), drink plenty, don't stress often and you will have clear skin. :)

It depends on the person! Since you are still young, you can start taking care of the problem early on. Almost all pre-teens/teens get some kind of acne at some point due to puberty and changing hormones. For some people it just goes away on its own, but for most people it takes a little more. If you just ignore it and hope it goes away you might risk it blowing up into something worse. It's better to be proactive about it.

First off you should make an appointment with your dermatologist (Doctor that specializes in skin conditions such as acne). Depending on the severity and type of acne you have they will likely prescribe you some kind of cream and/or an antibiotic to fight the acne.Secondly make sure you take care of your skin! Cleanse twice a day and moisturize as needed. Don't use too many harsh or irritating cleansers/products.

Acne's start and end dates are different for everyone, but for most people acne peaks in 9th or 10th grade, and finally goes away by age 18-19, as teen hormones calm down. Just because you had acne very early does not mean at all that you're stuck with it, or you'll always have it! But as Kelbell points out, it's good to be proactive and to take care of your skin to keep things from getting out of control. Whether you choose an OTC treatment like the Acne.Org Regimen, or go with prescription treatments like antibiotics, retinoids, etc., there's lots you can do to stay clear while waiting for acne to resolve on its own. And once acne does resolve, you won't need any treatments to stay clear.

But I agree, maybe tell your parents you'd like to see a dermatologist for your acne. They'll see what's going on and see what might be the best treatment options to clear you up.

Hope this is helpful! :)
