So i have little skin colored bumps all On my cheeks which are clogged pores. Ive had them for years but I just realized they were clogged pores last year. I do wear makeupbut not on a daily basis, only a couple times a week and i always buy oil free makeup. And i always remove it with wiped and micellar water. As for skin care once a week wash, steam, exfoliate, and moisturize my face. Everyday i wash and moisturize my face and every other day I exfoliate. (I use biore baking soda face wash)( *UPDATE i know use lush fresh farmacy)ive used toner before but haven't seen any improvement while using it so i stopped. These bumps are so aggregating because Ive had them for so long and i cant cover them with makeup. At this point i want to try oil cleansing with jojoba oil or a clay mask but i believe less is more when it comes to skin care.(UPDATE- ive done the clay mask for months but it hasnt helped)I have a oily t zone but most of the clogged pores are on my cheeks. Please help me I don't know what else to do at this point. Thanks

PRODUCTS I USE-
lush fresh farmacy 2x a day
apricot exfoliator- 2 times a week
target oil free moisturizer- 2x a
day
face mask (normally mask of magnaminty) 2x a week
arbone clear future acne serum- spot treatment

I have a similar problem. Well when I wake up the bumps on my cheeks are fairly smooth but as the day goes on they seem to reappear. Mine look hideous with makeup on. I was wondering if you managed to fix this?

No I haven't. Ive been using Lush products because they are all natural but it hasnt seemed to help.

I agree, less is more. Recently, due to the change in weather I tried to switch back to my gentler "winter" face cleanser. I found out the hard way that they have changed the formula. It clogged up all my press on my face with blackheads! Ugh! It's been a process, getting them to gradually purge, it takes patience and glycolic acid. First, I switched back to a cleanser I knew was not going to continue to clog my pores and witch hazel astringent. Every three or four nights I use Peter Thomas Roth 10% Glycolic acid hydrating gel. I also have been using Bragg's apple cider vinegar, as toner and/or spot treatment. (Careful with these products, too much or too often can cause burns, etc. ) It's really been helping to purge the clogged pores.
Good luck!

Every other day is an aggressive frequency for exfoliation. A general guideline states that once a week is plenty. Your skin could be less sensitive and more tolerant to it, but it might be optimal to use it less often. Also, the above poster mentioned glycolic acid, which I believe is often a good addition to a routine as it accelerates the skin's natural process of removing dead skin cells rather than using abrasive scrubs that tend to be harsh.

Which Lush products have you been using? Some of their "cleansers" are really strong exfoliators. In addition, the sales people are trained to sell, sell, and sell- no matter the consequence or result. They didn't have the cleanser I wanted, so they gave me herbalism and told me I could use it twice a day as a daily cleanser... Turns out later (and with a break-out) it's a powerful exfoliator.

I agree, glycolic acid might be the way to go. I use nip+fab's glycolic fix serum overnight 3 times a week and it works really well!

There's an app on the iPhone called "my water". I'm not sure if it's available on the Android or Samsung stores, but it's helped me out a good bit at trying to manage how much I drink and how much I need to drink. It also calculates how much water/hydration you receive from other drinks as well, such as lemonade, tea, soda, etc.
I've been trying to drink more water (I could be doing better) and it seems to help a bit. Let me know how it goes and please share any tips you've found out!

That's good! (I love that app, lol) Is that the hydration amount they recommended, or was it something that you were personally aiming for? At first I always found it difficult to get 1.6 L (54 oz) of water, but now I'm reaching the 2L mark constantly. Also, don't know why I still use the metric system... I am in America... Anyways, please share any other details, advice, or recommendations!

Also, I was wondering... what type of water do you drink? is it from the city water, a well, purified drinking water from a store? I recently saw a video online of a "doctor" who says that all the excess minerals and fluoride they place in city water (to keep it from getting contaminated) causes acne breakouts, but you know how things are- people looking for clicks on their videos, trying to make a profit in the multi-billion dollar industry of acne...
Hope all goes well and good luck! If anything, your body overall will thank you for getting the recommended amount of water it needs!

It could be one of the things you are using on your skin is contributing to your problem. The tough thing is the only way to know for sure is to stop everything for a good month or two and see how your skin responds. You could try stopping all products on just one area of your face as a test. We get stuck in habits of using things and sometimes its tough to stop but you never know until you try.

It is a personal goal, as of right now i haven't noticed that much improvement, but i noticed that after i drank 2 bottles of water and used my mask of magnaminty face mask my skin was literally glowing! And i just drink water bottles such as dasani, nestle, etc. :)

Thanks, I have never thought about this. I will definitely look into it! :)
