Hey
So I'm currently cleansing with Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, which I like a lot - then I'm using 'Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer' as it's recommended by quite a few acne boards. This one :

I've been applying after cleansing my face in the morning, and after cleansing at night (so putting it on before I go to bed). I CONSTANTLY wake up with a load of whiteheads all over my nose. This is due to blocked pores, and I can't help think that this moisturizer is causing that - even though it's a moisturizer stated as 'oil free'. Although it's a cream, weird.
Should I try going without moisturizer for awhile, or finding a gel based one?
Thanks. Whiteheads are a complete pain in the,,,

It contains BHA which exfoliates your skin and maybe is bringing the whiteheads to the surface of the skin because of that.
Whiteheads are not the worst thing, they are very superficial and easy to deal with. But if the problem continues i would say you should find another moisturizer - and oil free is not always the best choice, jojoba oil, sunflowers seed oil etc are actually fine, but i understand your concern of oils. But remember there is a huge different between using fat coconut oil at the skin and using jojoba oil.
A gel will not do anything different for you, i just think you should find a moisturizer, like CeraVe etc, without BHA.

Thanks very much. So sorry, the Liz Earle contains BHA or that moisturizer?
Any other moisturizers to look out for, like what about aloe vera etc?
As I have oily skin, would you recommend maybe trying going without moisturizer for a week and see what happens?
Thanks again

There is BHA in the moisturizer you have now. Generally it is not a bad skin but it can irritate your skin when you use other active ingrediens at the same time.
I think you should apply the AHA creme at night from acne.org and then you can use CeraVe Moisturizing lotion at daytime, and ofc sunscreen the days where the UV is high.

This is the downside, I live in the UK and it costs so much to get it shipped to the UK. So I needs products available in the UK only
I'll take a look around
