Here's how my shoulder looked on December 23rd 2015 which was the day I started accutane

[Removed media]

Here's how it looks today

Will this likely result in Keloid scars?
I don't know why it got so bad after I began using accutane

Did you pop them? What happened?

They look incredibly deep... Try not to pick them or touch them! The only thing I can recommend is getting a Vitamin E lotion, or Polysporin (antibiotic ointment with Vitamin E) that will help you heal... But seriously, whatever you do, don't pick them. Apply the polysporinthree times a day for up to five days, and then just apply the vitamin E cream twice a day until the marks heal.

Once they heal COMPLETELY.. You can look into using Dan's AHA lotion on it to fade the scars.

Drink a lot of water too.. Your body is being dried out from the inside. Accutane does crazy things to the body..

Needless to say I'm gutted that a few pimples resulted in me being scarred for life. I should have taken the warnings about accutane more seriously I just assumed it would work perfectly for me and skin would be flawless after it

Sorry to see that it caused you intense scarring :(
i think that is another reason I am very hesitant to take accutane (not to make u feel worse...hind sight is 20/20 and you had no idea this would happen..)
but just from personal experience I notice that people who have taken accutane always get scars no matter how bad their acne was. And me on the other hand, I have had acne for years and even the deep cystic kind but never have had a keloid or indented type scar. Only huperpigmentions. I think that the treatment actually causes scarring :(
however, after getting a couple cyst injections for the first time ever I think they actually might scar into the indented type :( only time can tell...
i digress though. Sorry you had a bad accutane experience :(

I had that and had to take oral cortisone and ended my accutane course early
