Hi..
Ive posted about this before but never had much luck, hoping someone has some advice!
I never wear makeup anymore, however i have finally found a shade pale enough for my very fair skin in the Dolce and Gabbana Luminous foundation.
Anyway, the issue is, after i apply foundation my skin looks very flaky, like its covered in Dead skin..But prior to any makeup application this is NOT visible, my skin is combination, veering quite oily atm.
Before anyone mentions exfoliating, i do regularly, using chemical exfoliants, physical irritate my skin.
PC Bha liquid daily to kepp unclogging my pores.
Ive tried her sample packets in and off of her 10% weekly AHA and i just purchased the full size. I used it on monday night past.
Yesterday (saturday) i tried foundation for the first time in months and the dry flakes are still showing that i just had to get it washed off.
Does anyone think itl take a few more weeks of using the aha once a week and could this be resolved this way?
Or any other ideas?
I have been thinking about primers, but confused because if i get a mattifying one i think it will make it worse. But i think i need to directly deal with the skin flakes/dead skin before i go into primers.
I just dont get this at all because my skin looks oily but fine with no flakes or dead skin on a daily basis without makeuo. I also use moisturiser.
Any advice would be great thanks
Thanks again for any advice
That's so weird , have you ever considered going to a dermatologist and asking one ?? They could probably get you the best answer but all I can say is maybe it's the brand you're using ?? I would just try a bunch of different kinds of foundations and concealers until you find one that matches for you. But also, if you normally don't wear makeup maybe this is your skins way of saying to not wear it ! Honestly im sorry I can't help more but I hope you figure out what to do
Have you ever used one of those sponge type things that you wet? I try to limit my makeup to just my undereye area (I like to brighten that area), and I have found that works beautifully. I have skin that runs dry and this particular method trumps all other ways of applying makeup, in my opinion.
