I'm 15 years old and I have had this skin issue for I think 2 years now maybe even more... I got it near my armpit first and it started spreading everywhere. I think it's either folliculitis or Thrush of skin because I have thrush on my tongue. I don't have any insurance so I can't goto a dermatologist until next year. I am very embarrassed and I have stopped being social in school and try my best to keep to myself. I hate it so much because it has ruined my social life, I just want to get rid of it as soon as possible. It's on my legs, thighs, arms, face, private area, and on my neck. EVERYWHERE. Sometimes they have white head and I pop them and white stuff comes out of it. So can any of you please help me out?

This looks like keratosis pilaris, which can occur due to dry skin. I used to get rashes like this on the back of my upper arms. Your PCP/derm can prescribe a topical ointment, but what worked best for me was using moisturizer every night after showering. Make sure you use something designed for sensitive skin so that you don't irritate your skin further.

I agree. This is keratosis pilaris and it's extremely common. You just have a lot of it, so it's more noticeable.

I do have sensitive and dry skin, I can't goto a doctor or dermatologist until next year, will just using lotion be fine?

Fish oil? I looked it up and it didn't say anything about fish oil? Should I still go and get some?

its worth a try!! i take natures bounty fish oil , 2 in the morning with breakfast and 1 with dinner- been doing so for 2 years :) omega-3 found in fish oil are essential fatty acids

"Though most of the major medical sites limit their recommendations to variations on the above, there™s some indication out there that keratosis pilaris may be related to a deficiency in omega-3 fatty acids."

Honestly, keeping my skin moisturized worked better than the topical ointment that my doctor prescribed me. Keeping your skin hydrated will not only get rid of those bumps (if it is in fact keratosis pilaris), but it will prevent them from coming back. You should also be hydrating from the inside out. That means drinking more water, especially if you live in a hot, dry place like myself.

I personally haven't heard about using fish oil for this, but it's worth a try. Fish oil is great for your skin in more ways than one. I take one every day with my multi-vitamin.

Hope this helps and good luck!

if it is keratosis pilaris, lotions and soaps with lactic acid will help (amlactin lotion and goatmilk soap)

Well I have used Lactic lotion and Fish oil (2 with breakfast 1 with dinner) and I've seen no change at all except for the bumps are spreading more and more on my face. I'm in high school and eventually this is going to get me picked on and I am out of ideas. I can cover my arms and legs, sweating all day at school because I live in florida and wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts isn't very nice but I can't goto school wearing a mask. Does anyone have any other Ideas
