I don't know if this is rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, or some other weird condition. Every time I got out in the sun for a few minutes, every time I shower, and every time I sweat, my nose skin falls off. It's like it regenerates as a white, patchy mess that isn't fully attached to my nose. Thus, the slightest stressor makes it fall off again. It never fully heals, and I end up with red, raw, splotchy skin underneath. I've tried everything to stop it. Moisturizer, Biafine, Bactroban, leaving it alone, not washing it... I stopped using Retin-A on my nose 6 months ago. Help!
I should add that I saw the dermatologist a few months ago, and she said it wasn't skin cancer. However, she's just a PA. Not sure I trust her fully.
She said maybe eczema or rosacea, and she suggested that I try to pinpoint my triggers. I know one of them is sweating, but that's unavoidable. My nose beads up in sweat all the time. Showering and getting out in the sun aggravate it, too, but at least one of those things can't be avoided. I really don't want to have to go back to the dermatologist since I always get overcharged...
I also have Elidel, which has helped on other red spots but not on my nose.
