15 weeks ago I got a massive pimple on my nose. It took two weeks to finally go down, but it was still a bump remaining. Two weeks later the bump broke out into another massive pimple, it nearly came to a head but I kept compressing it with ice and toothpaste so it went away in two weeks, but a bump still remains. It has been there ever since, total time 15 weeks.
It isn't flesh coloured but red. I'm only 15 so my mum wouldn't take me to a plastic surgeon and not even a dermatologist. My doctor said put cortisone cream on it and I'm doing it now but its not making much of a difference.
Please help. I'm a girl and every pimple I get lefts a red Mark behind but it never ever left a mark on my nose before. The skin usually peels off revealing fresh skin. But now it left a lump and it is red.
Hello this looks exactly like mines and it does the same, scabs up and then reveals new skin but the lump remains. Squeezed it a few times and it would be flat but a few days later it would be raised again, not sure what it is but I'm seeing a dermatologist in a few months and I've had this on my nose for 4 months. I don't know how a cream would actually work because the opening of the bump is sealed, perhaps a cortisone shot would help.
Why dont you see a derm now?
Well I have a nose bump scar that's sometimes red, and I've had it for like 7-9 months. Saw a dermatologist yesterday and she prescribed me Retin - A. She said to apply it and I should see results in 3 months. I;m going to do some heavy research on the ingredients, but so far I've seen some people say it has made their acne scars deeper and more noticeable, which is bad. Since nose bump scars are raised, this would be a good thing for me and maybe you too. But I don't trust it yet, and won't use it till I research it. But it's bad for acne in general, so I definitely wouldn't recommend rubbing it on your face.
I also tried witch hazel for 10 days and saw great results. But that was only 10 days, and not 3 months, so I never got to see the full results. I'd rather try witch hazel first, but I'll do my research and then decide.
@melloman how did you use the witch hazel? like did you hold it on for a long time? and is your bump like mine? note my doesn't hurt or feel like anything. i can push it down without pain.

Yes my bump is painless. Which means these are scars. My which hazel is in a bottle with a cap. I open the cap and let it drip on a q-tip until its moist and almost dripping. I then spread it on and around the nose bump scar. And let it dry.
Here's some more treatments.
If you decide to do witch hazel, it could take 3 months to see good results.
UPDATE
Hydrocoritsone shrunk it by 80% and I wasn't even worried about it anymore. A few days ago I feel it coming to a whitehead again FARRRK. And the cortisone made the area sunken and stuff.
Aww. I still have mine and nothing's changed, taking accutane today so hopefully that'll help good luck.
Okay, good news. So there is still a white head underneath the skin. I hope it doesn't come and eventually goes. But the bump is 95% flat now. I put some more coritsone on it when I thought it was gonna break out. Then I stopped and I'm now rolling my face with a 0.15mm dermaroller. This has been so good for the bump. It has reduced it and gotten rid of the red mark. But don't start dermarolling till you do the cortisone thing. Literally put a huge lump of cortisone on your nose everyday for two weeks, and don't even wipe it off. You might need toreapply during the day.
