I have been on Accutane for 26 days now and I have not seen any kind of improvement on my skin. I am still breaking out and my face looks the same if not worst, with a couple of new ice picks scars. I am seeing my doctor in 5 days, but since she was so vague I wanted to search on the net for a more assuring response.
I was told to go on Accutane since it will help improve the overall quality of the skin on my whole body and that it would supposedly fade out my acne scars to achieve a smoother face. My doctor said the same thing, but now that I think about it she didn't examine my face too deeply and my scars are more noticeable on natural light.
Can anyone who has been on Accutane confirm this?

Uhh... Accutane will most definitely not fade EVERYTYPE of acne scar.
There are scars that are called "ice pick" where the scar is deep deep in your skin, almost like this kind of shape \_/ And the only way to fix that is... probably laser treatment.
Will it improve overall skin tone? Hard to say, to be honest. Although I have not gone on it (but Im considering and have been doing tons of research), if it's going to dry out your skin.. your skin will look somewhat dull and flaky - it won't "glow".
But I do believe after the treatment, your skintone will get better as your body slowly returns to a moisturizing state.
