Moderate Acne

Hey guys,

I have had moderate acne (stage 2) for over a year now.

I have been on the paleo diet for over 6 months now.

Here is a brief list of some things I do not eat:

- Refined sugars

- Gluten

- Dairy

All makeup products i use are organic and natural.

I visited a naturopath about a month ago, and I am taking herbs daily.

I also take zinc supplements.

I had been taking a vitamin b complex and b5 supplement for 6 months. I have seen no affect.

I use tea tree every day as a spot treatment.

I have tried the bentonite clay mask for about 2 months. It did not work.

I cleanse my face twice a day using a clarisonic dupe.

I have been drinking a minimum of 4 cups of green tea daily. I also drink 2L of water a day.

Recently, i have made the switch to rooibus tea as i heard it may help.

My skin is getting worse, main locations of acne include the chin area (hormonal) and in between my eyebrows.

I am desperately seeking advice as I have tried nearly every avenue for a solution and everything has seemed to have failed.

If there are any suggestions, please comment. :(

I can't offer advice as I am going through a similar situation but I can offer my support. I've been seeing a naturopath since October and it has not helped my acne directly. Medically I am fine so she thinks it comes down to stress. Keep on being healthy but recognize that despite our best intentions, this condition can progress for years. Actively stress less, keep eating right, allow your naturopath to guide you, live your life and keep on believing that you are beautiful with or without acne. Go see a derm if the natural treatments are not working.

Vitamin b made me break out when I used it. Try cod liver oil with vitamin a and d in it. That will balance hormones. Don't wash your face too much. Twice a day is all that's needed. You could also try garlic capsules. They are a natural anti bacterial. You could also try taking probiotics which helps with inflammation. Only use non comodigentic make up or whatever it's called. This whole all natural stuff isn't always the best route to go. But if you're set on that then so be it. Hope

This helps. Lose the vitamin b complex though.
