I'm 16, I started using products at the age of 12 or so even before I had any issues. I started with BP and astringent, and since then, I've started getting acne, bumps, irritations, dryness, etc. I used epiduo for 2 years or so but only started applying it properly last year (previously used it as a spot treatment), and it essentially killed my skin. My skin then got adjusted to it, and it worked to reduce my acne, though caused irritations. Furthermore, using moisturizer, which my face required, made it get oily. I then made the connection in March and stopped using it. My face began to feel better and even improved in some aspects -- then spots and irritations set in. I switched to a natural cleanser, which i felt worked for several weeks. During this time, I started seeing a naturopathologist, who determined it was due to lack of protein amongst other issues. After this turned out to not be the issue, he eventually found that I have a wheat and refined sugar allergy. Since findinf this out, Ive stopped eating those, though it seems to have had no effect. I then stopped using the soap since it was also irritating my skin. My skin then improved again, before worsening. Ive been trying to do the caveman regimen, though I keep getting to points where i wash my face with the cleanser (I've determined that it actually worsens my skin) and get acne as a result. I really have no idea what to do. Right now I don't have any actual zits, but rather tons of irritated spots on my cheeks and some acne on my forehead with some dried spots (resulted from sebhorric dermatitus, which I took care of). I exercise often, don't have much stress, stay outdoors, eat healthily, sleep often, etc. I think the reason behind it is due to not allowing my skin to recover -- though I don't want to risk scarring. What should I do?
I'll try washing sheets often, I don't think that's the issue however -- I haven't noticed a correlation. I also have long hair in my front (comparable to the Persona 3 protagonist), though my hair doesn't touch where I get acne.
Anyway, my skin improved considerably overnight. Today tjough, it's extremely dry, so I'm preparing for it to start flaking soon.
