Hi guys, I'm really hoping you can help me identify what's causing my acne and how I get rid of it.

I've struggled with this for years now and I've tried pretty much everything to get rid of it!

I thought it was normal acne then I thought it was ingrown hairs so I took all my chest hair off but it made no difference.

I'm now currently reading about folliculitis but I'm not sure if its that either.

Please give me some of your expert advice :)

It does look like acne but it can be something else. Have you tried to see a dermatologist?I really think that a medical expert opinion would be important.

Visited the doctor today and have been prescribed a different kind of anti-biotic to ones I've tried before for it.

Will see how that goes, he wasn't too sure if it was acne or folliculitis but said the treatment is pretty much the same.

Any tips to speed up the process of it being gone? I've recently been using head and shoulders on it

What did the doctor prescribe?

I've found that putting Triple Antibiotic Ointment onto popped and unpopped pimples accelerates healing.

I am 33 and have been on birth control since I was 15 because I was told that it would control my acne, which it did. Last year I wanted to go off birth control because I don't want fake hormones pumping through my blood anymore. I was petrified that I would get acne all over my body. For the first month, I did. I had it on my knees even. I learned to juice every evening (parsley, kale, swiss chard, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, apple, beets and ginger). The results are fantastic. The broccoli and cabbage are the things that keep the oil at bay. I now know I need to heal my digestive tract with these vegetables and stay away from dairy (lactose intolerant) in order to stay acne free.

Heal yoursel from the inside out.

Good luck.
