It depends on how you feel...Like you said, you go out already without makeup so it's not effecting you TOO badly in that respect. Besides, if your acne has cleared up now that means you must have left the house without makeup with worse skin. That must be sopositive to think that if you could do it then you can definately do it now with worse skin.

I'm a guy and I used to wear makeup because I was so so self conscious, but now I've been really trying to not wear any when I go out. It's difficult and it effects me massively, but I know that in the back of my mind when I have my "I can't leave the house today I look ugly" moments, I will appreciate knowing that three days earlier I left without makeup and no-one said anything.

Try a different kind of makeup, it sounds like whatever you are using might not be agreeable to your skin.
