Hi there. I just got off of ziana for three months because it did nothing for me. I'm back on epiduo which cleared me last year within 3 months. During that time I was taking 100 mg of doxy each night. Since then, my insurance stopped covering doxy and I have been on mino the last four months (not doing much....). The thing is I am DESPERATE FOR CLEAR SKIN BY THIS SUMMER. Mid June preferably. Lately I've been so tempted to ask the derm for yasmin or yaz but am terrified of the initial breakout. Also... Not sure if my acne is hornonal? It isn't "worse" on my period usually however I do get mid cycle spotting which I know is a form of an irregular period leading me to believe something is whack with my hormones? Anyways I've been on epiduo for just over a week now and have gotten a few zits)): I know nothing works fast though! Please tell me what you think about birth control as my derm said she'd prescribe it but I want to know if the initial breakout is worth it.... Also, im a 17 year old female. Thank you so much im so desperate

Ps I have mild to moderate acne. Half the time I get cysts, the other half white heads. Also some of those deep nasty pus filled ones that take a week to come to head and leave terrible red marks
