Hi everyone. I am desperately looking for some advice.

I've battled with cystic acne for years, and have been on every medication known to man. The only treatment that truly has helped me is getting cortisone shots when it's bad, and even then, I'm left with indentations so it's not the best option. I've tried every pill, topical prescription, and over the counter, and can honestly say nothing has worked wonders. When I get it, I get it bad.

I have had a flare up on my chin for about a week, particularly in one area. It started as a small pimple, which flared into a huge ugly cyst. It's super painful, and very deep. At times I felt like it was trying to rise to a head so I could drain it, and of course I'm a picker to make matters worse... I tried to get at it, couldn't, and got a cortisone shot instead. Well, that hasn't helped at all!! Now I've had about 3 cortisone shots, the area is extremely irritated, maybe even infected, scabbed over and tender, And STILL a deep painful inflammation underneath the exterior disaster. Can anyone recommend ANYTHING To help this heel, and quickly?? I've srsrted taking Monodox as of yesterday, not sure it will do much. Anything I put on it makes the outer skin more dry and painful, ans doesn't help the monster underneath. I'm looking for any product or natural remedy to help speed this up.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you :(

The best thing for you to do would be to put some antibacterial ointment on it and cover it wtih a bandaid. Don't touch it. Don't pick at it! Use some ice or warm water compresses to help with the pain and take an Advil.

Ok the first thing you need to do is to stop picking at your acne AT ALL COST especially if the acne has not yet formed a head. Your skin will definitely become infected no matter what products or treatment you will use. Sadly, there is no magic cure for speeding things up. Treating acne takes a lot of patience and persistence but the results are great if the treatments does work out for you.
