I've been using the acne.org BP and cleanser (use my own moisturizer) since July of 2014 and my acne is cleared up. However, I noticed that my skin has gotten EXTREMELY oily, more oily than when I first started out with the regimen (I've always had oily skin but it was never this unbearable). When I first started the regimen after a week or two I did get very dry skin, but then it seemed to return to normal, but got increasingly oily as the months went by. I use the BP once every night, (a very thin line of it the length of my index finger) and that's been enough to keep my acne at bay. However, the oily skin is TERRIBLE. It just seems like it's getting worse and worse and I don't know what to do.
Is the BP the cause of my oily skin? If so, I don't know what to do because this is the only thing that has kept my acne at bay and has kept me so clear. This is the clearest I've been in years and I'm afraid of stopping the BP. Would it be okay to use the BP every other night instead of every night?
I'm also thinking that the moisturizers might not be moisturizing my skin deep enough. I've been looking into oil cleansing but I'm a little afraid to try that cause I read different things.
Please help I'm honestly so frustrated.
It did for me too, my skin was just really dehydrated all the time and seemed to produce more oil, it was like oily and dry at the same time and was not a good combination. I guess it works for some and not others, may drop down to every other night or a few times a week and see how your skin reacts. I get on better using differin instead of BP it keeps my acne clear and my skin smooth, good luck
