usually i use natural oils + moisturiser but if i stop this, i'm afraid my skin might be too dry and my oil barrier might be stripped.

also if i stop this, my acne might come back and leave scarring.

what do you guys think?

Although the topical treatments alone are not effective in the long term, stopping the medications per se will not improve your acne, unless you take some action to combat the internal causes.

Some of the things you mentioned are harsh on your skin while others are not. I would recommend that you continue a mild routine of skin care which involves some cleaning with mild products, and a bit of moisturizer -- provided that you have the right kind of moisturizer for your skin. Salicylic acid on the other hand is a peeling agent, which could cause irritation, so perhaps you may want to experiment with stopping that particular product. It is interesting that you say that stopping the products actually made your skin dryer and more irritated though!

I stopped all acne treatment because it was literally destroying my face - BP has made my face a shade redder which I notice because I have white circles around my eyes where i did not apply BP.

Right now I'm just using cetaphil gentle cleanser at night. I don't even touch my face in the morning - not even water. Definitely made my face look less red but it took about a month to get used to this routine. I also take B5 ( I made another post about this), now my acne is almost all gone - maybe just 3 spots.
