Acne is ruining my life, I'm 17 years old and I feel so depressed because of how bad my acne has gotten, I used to be known as the "cool Portuguese guy" and I had girls texting me and calling me to hangout and go to parties all the time, now I barely get texts or calls it feels I fell off I have this urge and it feels like I'm holding back my emotions because I show none. Acne has ruined my social life and has ruined how I think of myself I hate it. My parents don't understand and I can't tell them how I feel because I have a pride issue, I'm currently taking minocyline 100mg and tactuo topical gel. Hopefully this works or idk what I'm going todo with myself all I feel like doing nowadays is sleep and play video games to keep me From feeling empty inside. I have so much to say about what going on in my life that's messed up because of my acne but it's hard to put into words, I need help.
Bro, try writing journals/poems/songs to express what you are feeling. Even if they suck. For me it helped a lot, because it allows you to express the bottled emotions. I use to have what you have including depression and I prayed to God all of the time to rid me off it. Because God is good over time he took it away. You have to learn to not worry or be anxious Philippians 4:6-8 Dont worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience Gods peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
I use to think negatively way too much. It takes a lot of focus, but you have to learn to stop thinking like a negative Nancy, but rather start thinking like a positive Patty.
Andywoo, Jesus is what will fill that emptiness! He said in Mathew 5:6 "blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Mathew 6:33 "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need." God will fill your emptiness like he did for me! And I guarantee he will heal our acne if we peruse his kingdom!
