What the heck is this? How do I treat it? Please help me it's really making me upset. I wash my face once in the morning and once at night with a gentle cleanser (oilatum) , the only ingredient in my face wash is light liquid paraffin. I've already tried antibiotics (flucloxacillin) . I put nothing on my face no products I don't touch my face either even though it sometimes itches. Does it itch because of the beard or because of the acne? Pleas help me :(post-364222-0-73639300-1386095189.jpgpost-364222-0-73049100-1386095200.jpgpost-364222-0-05263900-1386095214.jpgpost-364222-0-39842000-1386095222.jpgpost-364222-0-04153400-1386095235.jpgpost-364222-0-06120200-1386095253.jpgpost-364222-0-59249500-1386095270.jpgpost-364222-0-61722900-1386095283.jpgpost-364222-0-22216700-1386095320.jpgpost-364222-0-51593400-1386095329.jpg

mhhh... Do you think it could be related to shaving?

Yep I think so... I try to shave only once a week but I think it's a form of folliculitis :(

Yeah, it definitely looks shaving related-- mostly because it's where your beard and mustache are. You have beautiful skin on your cheeks!

I'd try to figure out if you can soften the facial hair using beard conditioner so that when it reaches the surface, it'll come out of the follicle easier and without irritation. When you shave, don't go for a close shave-- just use a sharp razor and don't press down too hard and go with the grain as much as possible. I'd definitely look into using AHA because it exfoliates your skin so you're less prone to folliculitis/ingrown hairs. Paula's Choice (paulaschoice.com) has an amazing 5% AHA that really moisturizes the skin and exfoliates it at the same time. It gets rid of red marks really well. I use it every other night.

Haha, I know I'm not a dude, but my fiancee had the same type of skin as you-- he's clearing it now using all of the things that I suggested.

i hate folliculitus on my legs- stop shaving ( i know sounds horrible) Just dont do it for a little bit. what i found out is i had to get a special razor that was for like extra sensitive skin and stuff. You may have to talk to a dr. about it. im not a man
