I have been taking Retin-a 0.05 for the past two weeks and I have noticed that every time the acne vanishes it leaves behind a red mark almost looking like hyper-pigmentation. I mean i'm not even touching the pimple so it can't be it. Are getting these red marks normal when on Retin-a and go away within the time I use the product?

Hyperpigmentation doesn't occur ONLY when you don't pick at the pimple. It is hyperpigmentation...any red mark that is left behind is hyperpigmentation. However, it doesn't take quite as long to go away if you don't pick at it. But Retin-A will thin your skin a little, so maybe the red marks are staying a little long because your skin is more sensitive. Give it time, red marks will fade. Also, don't forget to wear sunscreen because Retin-A causes your skin to be MUCH more susceptible to sunburn and all those little red marks will remain MUCH longer if you don't put sunscreen on them.
