you know what i do with the proactiv toner so it doesnt dry me out? i use it once a day in the evening after washing (because i wear makeup all day) and right after i use it all over my face i rinse it with cold water. it does the job but yet doesnt dry out my face. witch hazel is good too and shouldnt dry you out at all but you could also cut it with water too. i dont have a lot of oil either but after having a good facial my aesthetician told me i need to use a toner to get off all that dead skin on a daily basis. also it really cleans the skin so even though i thought my cleanser was doing a good job i still find the cotton ball to be dirty after i use the toner all over my face. i had really bad cystic acne a little bit ago and this really helps my skin a lot. the rinsing with the water is key to not drying out the skin.
Hey guys, just wanted to post some pics on my progress. I think I've improved a lot since the last time I posted here, but acne is still persistent on my right cheek, which has quite bad rolling scars too. The other cheek is quite OK, I don't mind it as it didn't develop inflamed acne (even though it seemed like it's on the way, it calmed down since I started using the lactic acid cream). My forehead is an area I really despise, especially that place in between my eyes. Ew ew ew. Any idea what that could be? Are those ice-pick scars?
Try to stop using so many different moisturisers and supplements and let your skin do its own thing. I eventually solved acne once I took it easy on the treatments, and did two things:
- Changed pillow cases every night - this is where the skin bacteria have a field day
- Drank plenty of water

Thanks for your answer unfortunately it's not something new for a long term acne sufferer, I do both things for many years
