I've had some great improvement with my scarring, and now my main concern is the texture and superficial scarring.
I'm not sure if I should get a 25% TCA peel or fractional ablative laser. I had one session of the laser before and actually noticed some decent results in terms of texture, but the redness persisted for months, which I don't really want to have to go through again.
My doctor said that he could more of a laser peel for less downtime, but I'm focused on the best results at the end of the day. I've heard that a TCA peel could also help with PIE too, which would be a plus.
Would a TCA peel be a good alternative with less downtime?
I believe a TCA peel only comes with a few days of redness and a few weeks where you have to be really concerned about sun exposure.
However, what I took away from your post more than anything was that you saw great results. Whatever gives great results, I'd stick with that. Many times, people are disappointed with their scar repair procedures.
