Hi i am a 27 years old male With a past of severe cystyc acne. To Health from acne i put retin a that worked good and acne left me. But it was too late and i got severe scars in my both cheeks. Expecially in my left side (1st picture). I Tried lots of things: superficial peeling With retin a for 1 year, 50% tca cross (that, in my opinion Made my scars worse), 8 ablative fractional laser resurfacing (7 With smartxide2 and 1 With mixto) and microneedling.. they helped in texture and With some rolling scar in the right side (second picture) but now i am very depressed since i have never seen Someone With scars like mine. I cannot go Among other people and if i go, i feel uncomfortable. Despite i have a girlfriend and some girl tell me that i am cute, i cannot stand this on my face. And i cannot accept to live the rest of my life With this on my face. At this point i am resigning that no treatment will ever work in my scars and i will have to live the rest of my life in a sad way. Please help me! Thank you a lot
I took the last laser 2 months ago, after a couple of weeks, tired of the lasers results, i started to inform about other treatments and i red that some people With a problem similar to mine, improved With sub+fill. i Am just afraid that the filler is not permanent, and something permanent like the fat costs a lot. What do you think? other opinion? Information about average cost with ialuronic or with nanofat? Thank you very much
Update after 3 years: in these 3 years i had 3 subcision fillers with HA and some laser more and 2 microneedling RF. My skin has improved a bit but in angled light i still see the holes clearly and it is like they have the same deep. Someone can suggest me some other treatment? Who does excision in italy? Is it possible to excise this kind of holes without making the skin worse?
It sounds like what you've been doing has helped. Perhaps you could keep doing it. From the research I've done, I've seen that basically the more repeated resurfacing you do the better, and sometimes it takes many resurfacing procedures before you really notice improvement.
Have you tried laser + PRP? If you're resurfacing, you may as well do the one that works the best.
And another question would be: Have you looked into deep peels? They can sometimes help also (but you want to be under the care of someone super good).
Also, acceptance is important. Once you are scarred, it's no longer "regular skin" and there's only so much you can do. You'll never have the original skin back. If girls are saying you are cute, believe them, get back out there, and enjoy life. Sometimes a bit of scarring and imperfection can come across as "rugged."
